While i love the nostalgia of the older databases they just arent realistic. I recreated Chelsea from the mourinho era and I was winning every game 5-0 and up. Drogba and Torres were scoring buckets of goals. It took me about a week of watching videos, looking at old FM profiles and I finally recreated Chelsea in a realistic way to suit FM23. While were a TOP team were not blowing everyone away. Drogba isnt scoring hat tricks every game, you have to sort your tactics to suit his playstyle and torres is struggling but with certain players and tactics he plays better.

It wasn't a criticism. It was a comment based on the addition of older players to the game. A lot of my favourites have retired. I just wish something like Masters Football (a small sided competition containing ex pros from various clubs or nations) was possible to bring to FM. Would be fun to give all those retired folks something to do

When I saw the number 20 on their attribute, I knew it was made out of nostalgia, not based on their actual ability at that time.
But it is good DB for fun

Huge amount of credits for not neglecting Dutch Leagues. Most retro DB's neglect dutch leagues while they were back in the day soo succesfull.
