I bought a premium membership and feel really let down by the quality and amount of facepacks now available on my game which are far fewer than i had originally. Am I doing something wrong ?

Given the cut-out megapack has just under half a million images, for example, encompassing the whole gameworld, I suspect you are.
What did you download, and how have you determined it is far fewer than what was in the game originally? Might be you haven't installed it correctly.
