Just came on to update my old FM12 face pack. I'd like to get FM13 but can't afford it and wonder if I'm just better of waiting for FM14 lol.

Figured I'd see if anyone else has tried go2goal.net - the football player simulator? If you sign up and are looking for a good first team, I'd suggest the Wolves FC Academy. Now just 43 minutes to go on this face pack update =/

Aye the fact they're trying to lock games to consoles and paying for live doesn't sound appealing. But the Blu-Ray, changes to the actual hardware and just better console in general sounds good. However if there is not much difference hardware wise between this and the PS4 I'll probably go for Sony's too.

Sony must be loving this so far, following Microsofts announcement of the Xbox 'One' their share prices have dropped by 0.2% and Sonys have jumped by 8%.

I'm just going to get what the four people I play xbox with now get. Truth be told, I wish I could be a cunt and say 'all I want is to play games', but realistically how I use my Xbox isn't like that. I watch 95% of my television through, be it Netflix, Sky, NBA or BBC iPlayer. I play a few games here and there, but mostly just sports ones and the occasional new release.

Microsoft have the data, they know that people use their machines and they're trying to gear it towards that. It's just the only people who give a fuck to pay attention to their announcement right now are core gamers, who are not hearing the music to their ears.

Its just weird though that they're going so heavily for the TV side of thing when its a dying market really, people watch stuff on demand now more than ever and Xbox just seem to be jumping on a sinking ship. As long as the PS4 has all the On demand apps like it does atm then im happy, also the more i think about the used game situation the more ridiculous it sounds, its so bad i get a feeling they will have to change it and it wont actually happen but who knows.

The graphics haven't even improved that much. It's an all in one multimedia center that will probably wipe your ass for you with the next update.

Not true, the game is tied to the machine, not the gamertag. Multiple accounts can play the game, as long as it is on the same Xbox.

Yeah its so odd though that you can play a game on your friends console if your signed into your account but then when your at home its tied to your console, its still a major fuck up from Xbox.

Even the fact that the fee you have to pay is looking like it'll be the full price of the game rather than say a tenner or something, will be interesting to see how retailers react to this, cant imagine gamestop and the like will be to happy that they're main income is being cut

Not really, unless you threw away the disc, the game is still registered to your account too so when you put the disc in the new console and you reassign your account over it should just match up. Much in the same way now if you get a new console you just move your account over and have access to all the content you previously downloaded.

The basic gist of it is that if you take the game to someone else's house it'll deregister the game on your machine and ask the new console to pay for it.

Realistically though I envisage day one digital purchasing to be the primary way I buy games so I really couldn't give a fuck about it. If we still lived in a disc dominated environment I'd be a lot more annoyed, but I just don't see myself really ever buying games on disc with the next generation.
