No the crowd are a disgrace. Far too many arrogant fans who expect Newcastle to steamroller any opposition. Booing a bad shot or cross is simply unacceptable.

I don't even like (and never have) Pardew, and I despise rhetoric about the crowd being the '12th man', but in SJP it's a poisonous atmosphere that erodes all confidence and composure, and leads to the conceding off soft goals and the inability to actually play well. Hopefully the crowds will drop and the performances will come back. They boo backwards passes ffs.

Plus I can't stand all the fair weather fans who backed Pardew last year and Ashley's transfer policy and acted all smug, and now complain all the time about them now.

Poisonous atmospheres never help but the generation of such things begins if the players don't offer any reasons to be cheerful, and especially over long stretches like this entire season has provided. We had to win this one today and for the majority of it we were, but then Pardew threw it away with some spectacularly inept changes.

If there's nothing to be optimistic about, people will turn and there really is nothing to be optimistic about in our current situation. I am incredibly pessimistic about the team at times but I have been positive that, at some point, we'd get our act together. Today though was evidence we can't, especially if Cabaye is injured again as Pardew claimed and if we keep playing Mike Williamson as a first choice CB.

You've only got another 7 1/2 years of Pardrew, not long really. Or a massive pay off for him.

As posted, we have a failsafe to prevent a stonking pay-off.

I can see Arsenal giving Chelsea a mauling to be honest. Midfield is going to be key for Chelsea, with Ramires and Lampard in the middle there isn't much defensive cover for the defence. If Arsenal control the midfield, they'll win it.

Surely your not being serious? No Podolski or Chamberlain and our bench is absolutely awful, nothing gonna change the game there.

Absolute fucking piss take, clear stamp and should have been a foul. How the fuck some of these ref's get employed is beyond me.

Ridiculous that the foul on Cocquelin went unpunished in the build up to the Mata goal.

Oh, well done Szczesny. Fucking hell.

It's frightening how awful we are without Arteta in our side.

Also, why the fuck is Walcott taking corners? He's awful. Get Cazorla on them.

Its fucking terrible, watch us when we have the ball, no one to pass to, no movement, no one willing to drive the team on, no urgency whatsoever. Its the usual go 50 yards forward, but as its done so slowly we end up going 40 yards back and the opposition are back in position.

On second look, the penalty doesn't seem so clear-cut. Ramires seems to just fall over Szczesny's leg as opposed to Szczesny actually taking out his footing.

Still, we can't defend for love nor money,

Our game is becoming increasingly doubtful apparently, snow forecast to get heavier around Tottenham and although the pitch looks fine the surronding area could get bad.

I really hope it doesn't get cancelled, we can do without a tough game midweek when the congestion is bad enough already.

I reckon that probably is a penalty, Ramires has just mugged Szczesny off. He's obviously looking for it, but Szczesny obliges. The fact he throws his arm up straight away tells you that Szczesny knows he's been stupid.

Sagna caught again, so hope this is his last season. Wilshere and Diaby up until now have done fuck all, Diaby seems to need 5 mins on the ball and Wilshere is just strolling around waving his arms at everyone else. Cazorla is waisted on the left but then thats what happens when both Podolski and Chamberlain are missing.

At least we have a strong bench, oh wait...

Why is Santi Cazorla not the at the centre of everything Arsenal do? He's not even taking the set-pieces.

It's a joke that he's not taking the corners, but with Podolski and Oxlade-Chamberlain out we've been forced to shove him out on the wing. It was either that or sticking Ramsey there.

Chelsea have been far better, but it should still be 0-0. I thought he was going to book Ramires for diving.

Definate Pen, if Szcezney isn't in that position there and then, its a goal.

Giroud should have scored before any of the talking points, can't see him getting a better chance.

As for Cazorla, for me its simply because Wilshere is back and he seems to be given complete control over everything, fuck knows why.

1st one was a foul. 2nd one is a stonewall penalty. Contact is a contact and he is lucky not to see red.

He did touch him though didn't he?

It's stupid goalkeeping, if you leave a leg out like that in the box there is no player in world football who won't take that gift. You can call it a dive, or exaggerating contact or playing for the foul or whatever but at this level (in fact, at almost any level) you would expect a player to go over a leg left dangling like that, it would be stupid not to.

They are looking more dangerous now in last minutes, they will probably play on counters in 2nd half.

It's ridiculous. He's one of the best players in the league (and probably your best player) and he's been relegated to an after-thought.

Also ridiculous, Wilshere's a good player and he's going to get better, but between the fact Cazorla is better and Wilshere has been out for more than 12 months, Cazorla should not be stuck out on the wing (and stuck behind Walcott when it comes to set-pieces).
