Yeah it's not good for Westwood that he's not playing regularly and he won't be anytime soon because Mignolet is a fucking beast, although a bigger club may come in and take him away from Sunderland I suppose.

Not by much. No point playing Given in the qualifiers, then (if by some miracle we qualify) playing someone with no experience in the WC.

Oh I meant Westwood being our best keeper, not Given.

I think Shay hasn't been the same since that shoulder injury he sustained at City.

I think we need to stick with Westwood.

He needs experience and we'll reap the rewards later on down the track if he gets it.

A lot of England fans were against the likes of Arteta and Cudicini playing for England when they were suggested a few years ago. Some would probably be uncomfortable with Aaron Hunt and Lewis Holtby playing for England and many cricket fans are against the use of 'foreign' players playing for England.

It depends really on the situation.

I'm certainly not against it if the player actually wants to play for Ireland and if they've Irish parents. Personally I've lived in Australia say since I was 14 and if I wasn't wanted by Ireland then I wouldn't be against playing for Australia (in the situation that I was a professional footballer).

I wouldn't mind taking England reserves at all. Pilkington is one example of a very good player who wants to play for us (and I think that's actually sorted now)
