Hamilton Academical

What a year! Surprise 3rd place, and we were hanging in around the top 3 for ages. Aberdeen won, preventing Rangers from winning their first SPL trophy in 8 years! We had a brilliant year but no trophies for this season. Not even a cup.

We brought in a few good free players in, such as Bradley, Mutti and QPR favourite Tweedie. This thing of biggest note in our sales was selling Michael Field, for £3.8 million to Chelsea.

So I targetted above 40 points as I thought we would be safe with that. We passed that early on in the season. We scored the most goals in the tournament, with an in form Gordon being massively important. I expect to win at least a cup next season, with the money from Field's transfer to fund us as well as the Europa League.

USA

I took over the USA at the start of the season. Everything was going well, we were doing fine in the Gold Cup, until the Copa America came, and I had to choose another squad for that, which included swapping many players who were in my Gold Cup squad out, which stopped me from playing them in the Gold Cup. Added to that, the players I brought in can't play in the Gold Cup, as they wouldn't have the right squad numbers. So I did the only rational thing to do and resigned.

Another update will come with next season.See you then.

Hamilton Academical

Another good season, made better with the last push, which got us into the top 6 split, and into the top 4. Luckily Rangers won the Scottish Cup, which allowed us the 4th place in the league and another season in Europe. In Europe this season, we did well, and had an amazing result on the West coast of France. Not bad for a first season in Europe, and we have another coming up.

Outgoing, there were just some fringe players leaving. No one major, and we did well making 100k off academy failure William Clark.

We spent a large sum, mainly in monthly installments on Davor Tenjeri to replace GK Sanchez. He is amazing and only 20. We brought in Johnny Naessens, and Silvio Marinelli, who finished the season in style, with 6 goals in his last 6 games. We also brought in aging Dwain Reid, who has now retired, and Richard Jackson, previous Celtic player, and best Irish regen of the game so far - and only 33 years old. So a few years in him still. Phil Williams had a lot of promise, but failed to live up to that, and in the next season, I sell him to Rangers for 1 million - a good profit for a player I brought in on a free.

We finished the season well, with 6 wins, 3 draws and a loss in the last 10 games, and we finished 4th behind impressive Dunfermline. A step back from last season, but we still got into Europe, so I am happy. We didn't do well in the cups, though, so no more trophies this time.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/wtL9k9sEc5IbpmBLKItO5cTYXO61rv0gZSaONNzB.png

We had a tough group in Europe, but we did ourselves proud, finishing with 2 wins and a draw. One of the wins was just amazing and was one of two amazing away performances this year. Seeing as Bordeaux had the reigning World Player of the Year aswell, it was quite an achievement.

So I haven't got another international job, and I am well into pre season of 2048, but it is frustrating times, as I can't seem to bring any quality players in, and I have lost a great player for a large sum of money. But we will be back and hopefully challenging for a cup or two, and the top 3 of the SPL.

Hamilton Academical

I have decided, 10 games into the new season, that I want change. At Hamilton, I was enjoying it, but the league was just too inconsistent, and my team was so good some games, and so shite the next, I decided to leave. This was added to the problem of wages and not challenging in Europe at all.

Transfer wise, we sold Phil Williams to Rangers for 1 mil, my board accepted a 3.3 mil bid for Savvas Papadimitriou, my RB. I was a bit unhappy about that. Ex-Number 1 GK, Sanchez, and Paterson leave for decent fees.

Incoming: I increased my Croatian contingent, by signing Marin Tomac as a back up striker, Brane Music as my LB and Sandro Amic as a versatile, 16 year old wonderkid. He left on loan immediately. The Croatian contingent stands at 9 (Loncar, Fustar, Tenjeri, Soldo, Amic, Tomac, Music, Vukovic and Grgic). We signed Landing Mendy and Carl Owen on a free from relegated Inverness, decent midfielders, our weakest position. Our best player, and my biggest regret when I left, is Wayne Pulido, who joined on a pre-contract in January. USA national CM, and a brilliant player. Mark Borkovic, Christos Kontos and Alain Carson came in as backup.

Thought I would show off Wayne Pulido. What a player. Shame I didn't get to manage him.

This season, we had qualified for Europe. I got into the group stages once again, beating Banants, Mlada Boleslav and M Tel Aviv. We were 5th when I left, but we weren't challenging in Europe, in a group stage which includes Groningen again, Trabzonspor and Stuttgart. We weren't challenging in the league, so I gave up. I wanted a change in scenery. I have won 2 trophies here, and I don't feel the need to stay here.

I didn't manage to screenshot the table when I left, but at the moment, here the table is for Hamilton. And also the foiled European journey. I left after 2 games.

I decided to search for clubs, and for the best club for me. That means, no high English leagues, no Norwegian leagues as I have completed that. I ended up at:

Degerfors IF

The club I have chosen is Degerfors IF. Known for having high attendances and being very well supported for a town with 12000 people. Are in decent financial shape, despite losses in the last few years. Have fluctuated through the leagues, but were on the cusp of promotion last season, in 5th place, with a poor squad.

I know, I know, I have completed this league with Elfsborg. I haven't completed the Allsvenskan or the Cups though, and this setup at the club is good. Brilliant finances for a Superettan club and good youth. I reckon I could take these into Europe. The table 6 games in, is promising.

I have invested in a new squad, aiming for promotion in my first year. My team report follows. My players have been downgraded by my assistant after signing two players probably better than the league - Baba Antwi and David Manu. Both got offered to me from agents. I have bought very well. We have also promoted a very good striker to the first team setup - Zebastian Ingvarsson.

I am back to using the 4-5-1 system, which I used to win the Scottish First Division, and tried to get my players to adapt to at QPR. It is also the formation I used with South Africa, which I won 2 African Cup of Nations with. I have another back-up tactic. This one I created, and works well when we need a better presence up front.

Tactic 1:

I hope to get promotion and possibly win a cup, knocking a target off the list, and qualifying for Europe

Extra Info:

Hamilton won the Scottish League Cup, and may qualify for Europe for the 3rd time in a row.

Vasalunds, back with my old manager, before it got corrupted, and on the old site, won this division last year, and are playing in the Allsvenskan, 3 leagues higher than when I started with them.

South Africa have won the 2 last African Cup of Nations, without me, stretching their winning streak to 4 tournaments. I for that screenshot, I used a cool feature, to show the ones South Africa won, and the Nigeria success I had aswell.

I am using the Real Competition Names add on to the game now.

I have loaded the English, French, Turkish, Italian, Scottish, Swedish, Greek, Russian, Austrian and Norwegian. I am keeping the last two to see how league dynamics work during the game. Red Bull Salzburg are now the 22nd richest club in the world, with Sturm Graz, and some other clubs getting richer. There is a lot of money and quality players in the Austrian league, and it is just behind Russia, Greece in terms of coefficients - not too far off Holland even!

Going back to the beginning:

Baerum - Norwegian 2nd Division 1 - Had a 3 year flirt with the 2nd division between 2036 and 2048

Ranheim - Norwegian Tippeligaen - Been slowly declining down the division, got relegated last year, promoted straight back up

Stromsgodset - Norwegian Tippeligean - Slowly falling, into mid-table averageness

Blackburn - nPower Championship - Falling very quickly - relegated this season for the first time to League 1

Arameiska-Syrianska - Swedish Division 2 Sotra-Svealand - still in the same division - Got promoted once in 2044

Vasalunds IF - Allsvenskan - Promoted last season, made decent start this season - 3 divisions above where they were when I took over

Elfsborg IF - Allsvenskan - flirted with the European places in the top division. Not quite made it yet

TSV Hartberg - League below the Austrian Erste Liga (bottom playable) - not been seen since 2036

FC Lustenau - Austrian Premier Division - Fluctuating much so - 1st (for the first time since my management) in 2046, 9th in 2048 - European coefficients improving and a better quality of player is being attracted.

Hamilton - You can see where they are at in my previous post
