Arguably the second biggest club in the world and then we pull some small time amateur shit like that.

I'm not saying it's Moyes' fault, far from it, but could you imagine if Woodward tried to pull that shit on Ferguson?

I'm pretty sure you'd find him floating face down in the Irwell.

If it's of any consolation it'll never be this bad for United again, things can only get better, and Woodward will have learnt a lesson or two (right?)

Just read that Gareth Bale now earns more in a week than David Cameron does in a year. totally ludicrous.

The more I think about Mesut Ozil and what he represents for Arsenal, the more I can see Arsenal being a contender in a year's time. But only if they can put money on the table again.

He was glorious in the 2010 World Cup and has been glorious for Real Madrid for the last three years. Arsenal need to surround him with players.

I really hope his signing proves to be a watershed moment for us, much like Robinho's transfer to Manchester City was in 2008. We've had the money and spoken about our ambition this summer about bringing world class footballers to the club, but until last night we just looked like a second-rate club with too much money to know what to do with. To sign Ozil for £42.5m shows huge ambition and I can only hope his signing leads to more top players coming to Arsenal in January, next summer and in years to come.

I'm sure the Old Etonian from old money that runs the country will be crying his eyes out.

The Prime Minister's salary is around £140k p/a. Compared to an equivalent job in the private sector, say running a multinational corporation, or a bank, it's nothing. Politics isn't where to go if you're after the money.

Cameron just wanted the power, not the money. He's rich enough anyway.

High up politicians make shed loads of money, just not 'officially'.

When he leaves office/retires does he get a pension for the rest of his life? Apparently former prime ministers in Australia get $250,000 a year, taxpayers pay their home phone bills, mobile phone bills, a car and air fares for them and their spouse.

I didn't intend to make it seem like I'm sympathising with Cameron, I have always been a labour voter. It just shocks me that a footballer can surpass a major World leader's salary in just a few days.

They've got one fit striker I think.

He's a bit of a mug for going back but its decent from West Ham.

He's a full-back. Probably on the left, since we didn't get Baines.
