Since when?
You getting them mixed up with Garmin/Slipstream?
ianbaker
Still cheap for a road bike though. Normally anything other than a Tesco or Halfords bike is more than 300 quid.
Ninja
Halfords cheapest is £300. Pretty decent bike as well.
ianbaker
I was bang on then wasn't I!
Sears
probably! Every time I see a price of a racer bike they always seem to cost £700 upwards. Always thought they were an expensive bike, I guess not.
VP.
King Luis
Nah not at all, aluminium frames are cheap as chips. The bikes that cost £700 will have carbon forks then ones above £1,000 are usually full carbon.
Sears
Fast aren't they?
VP.
Not so much that, just not been on a racing/road bike since i was around 9 years old, so about 24 years ago. Gonna take a lot of getting used to the handle bars and especially the where the brakes are ffs.

Ninja
I've been riding mine since 'bout September now and I'm still not sure where to put may hands...
King Luis
Just rest them on the hoods its weird though having shifters on the flats of the bars which makes it abit more awkward compared to a conventional road bike
Ninja
That's pretty much what I do, with my fingers wrapped round the top of the brakes (assuming I'm thinking of the right thing when you say hoods). I don't feel like I'm very aero dynamic though.
I think that might be because the bike came with a riser stem that I could probably take off though.
King Luis
Yeah thats right, its not the most aero position but its the most comfortable. If i want to get down abit more i tend to push up with my palms on the hoods or just rest my arms on the flats but thats not the most secure riding position just gets you down more and allows you to get more power down.
Ninja
Yeah, reckon I might lower the handlebars a couple of inches tomorrow and see how that feels that's probably why I don't feel aero as you put it.
Definitely need to re-attach and get used to using the toe grip peddles though. Got frustrated and took them off after a week cause I couldn't get the hang of flipping over the peddle I had unclipped from mid-cycle.

Bought these this morning. 19.99 reduced from 50. Next day delivery so I can play in them on Saturday.

Kevo you're one to talk about getting injuries.
ianbaker
Not played in 3 weeks through injury. Back strain. And that game was my first since mid November due to holidays, cancelled games, not giving a fuck.
I'm going to go mad and buy myself a new pair of football socks later aswell!
K3V0
You know I've seriously thought about becoming a physio due to my injury background.
I mean I'm almost already qualified anyway...
You're so going to fucking severe your spinal cord or some shit.
ianbaker
Probably. Update on Monday.
