My ticket is one way into the City, so it would cost me over $13 for a return, which is quite crazy for public transport.

£4.50 up here, same situation as above. It's sometimes cheaper to get a daysaver than a single, so stupid.

Seems common sense to me to make buses to be free/very cheap to reduce congestion and pollution. Make buses a viable alternative to cars, rather than just for people who can't afford cars.

Arrive who run the buses in North Wales are the biggest scamming cunts ever. Charge by destination and their prices are ajoke

What I used to do was walk to a bus stop further along, about a ten minute walk, because it was £1 cheaper to catch the bus from there to town than from the bus stop down the road from me. Little bit risky though, because you've got to cross a main road and occasionally the bus wouldn't stop there because it's not really in the driver's eye-line.
