Breaking Bad

It's obvious there's going to be spoilers in threads on TV shows that are currently airing, its a bit stupid to come in to one when you're not caught up and complain that people are discussing it.

It's not stupid to want spoilers for a short while after it has been on.

Why not set a limit if say like a week if spoilers after show airs then after that no spoilers?

Its a far simpler solution to just expect spoilers in discussions about the show, the general TV thread serves the purpose for answering general questions and if you're not caught up you don't visit the thread.

It's exactly what I do, people have seen the episode by the time I get to work on Monday but I don't look at the thread or any other discussion of the episode anywhere until I have seen the episode on monday evening. Low and behold I've had nothing from this series spoiled for me.

As pretentious as Netiquette is, it is a norm to expect spoilers for a while. A lot don't watch when it airs but rather record it.

And those people can simply not view the thread until they have seen it.

You're years behind on a current TV series and go into active threads about it expecting not to see spoilers. I'd say you're the only cunt here.

Yeah that's a pretty stupid thing to do. When I started Game of Thrones from the beginning just before season 3 started I avoided that thread until I was upto date, common sense.

I also avoid this thread, Reddit and Facebook like the plague until I've seen the latest Breaking Bad episode.

It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to have a sticky saying to expect spoilers and amending the thread titles of popular shows.

E.g.

Breaking Bad| Spoilers| Airs Sunday

Or have a spoiler thread and a non-spoilered thread? Then people can still discuss older episodes wen they aren't uptodate?

That'd just lead to two dead threads with little discussion.

Plus there is a likelihood that someone could be further behind then you and then they could moan about the behind thread being spoilt

So the general rule then is to not go in threads and people wonder why activity is down? My idea may not the best idea (I didn't think it would be) but it is an idea to help make things a little better

I don't have a problem with continuing to use spoilers tags. Sure, people probably should be cautious when they haven't seen the new episode but it's no trouble for those who have seen it to spoiler their posts.
