Hi there

I can't find any contact information, besides [email protected]. I wrote twice, but still no reply. Thing is, I had no idea I had a subscription going on at sortitoutsi.com. What am I paying for, and is it possible to get a refund? Those money was supposed to be spend on something else.

Can you not just click "cancel Paypal subscription"?

Same!

At no point do I remember agreeing to pay £10 be a member of a website which I never go on.

Please refund my £10.

If you sign up for a Premium Membership, it quite clearly states on the first billing page on Paypal that it's £10 yearly.

Aye, if you can't remember signing up then thats very strange.

But if you do remember then I doubt we'll be able to help you.

Cancelling the subscription wont return my money.

I paid to get access to the mega-packs, that year, nothing else. No automatic yearly subscription renewal. I guess it's my own fault for not reading everything, but still I ask for an act of kindness and return my money I don't even own FM14, so I wont be using your services this year.

I was likewise very surprised to see money taken off my account for something I didn't realize was an automatically renewing subscription.
I do not use FM 14, and signed up to get packs for FM 13.
I think I should have to click on something to confirm I want to auto renew my account, instead of automatic renewals being default.
The only reason for this is pure trickery and the hope to make extra money off people that otherwise would never have signed up again for the service.
Pretty shameful.
I would like a refund as well.

Not really. It's quite clearly explained that it's yearly. I'd call it pure stupidity on your part.

Thanks Crane. Perhaps you could explain to me where I go to in my settings to remove this automatic renewal? I can't find it.

Gavin you do not seem to have a paypal subscription with this account. It is likely that you have two accounts with the site and the paypal subscription is associated with that account but I cannot refund you unless I can find the correct subscription.

Can you please PM me your paypal email address so that I can try and find it

I might be off the mark, but could these people not be paying for the membership to get the premium downloads, downloading what they want, and then just claiming they had no idea what they are signing up for?

Seems odd that there's a sudden string of people who didn't know what they were paying for.

I would think that a quick check of the person's history and record of downloading would answer that question?

An email before the renewal date along the lines of "your yearly membership is going to be renewed in the next few days" might avoid people forgetting/not reading what they have paid for.

Ay I should implement that.

Why don't you bring back the monthly membership as £10 in one go puts a lot of people off. Used to be around £1.50 a month and i'm sure you'll get more people sign up that way.

We used to do £1 (£1.50 was under Smithjurd I think). It was actually considerably worse with that model since most people would sign up for the £1 and then cancel immediately. Using the £10 model encourages those who actually want to help the site over a long period to do so (which is what it's really about) and not those who just want to grab and run.
