First Knockout Round draw



Very happy with our draw against Schalke .

January 2020



We seems to be really slacking in January fixtures.

We managed to beat sc Heerenveen thanks to own goal from their goal keeper. We was really pathetic.

We see off FC Twente with first half goals from Brunner and Jovetic.

Our draw against Vitesse really annoyed me, I let this guy slipped through our net and ended up signing for them and he ended up scoring against us and won MOTM award Verhappen got us off to a good start with a free kick finding the net on 24th minutes and we has chances to finish the game off. Their goal came from 76th minutes.

We have made one signing in January which was signing Cesc Fabregas on free, mainly for tutoring purpose and back up.

February 2020



Much better month compare to last.

We kicked off the month with 2-0 win over Fc Groningen thanks to goals from van Oeveren and Verhappen.

Another 2-0 win with goals from Jovetic and Verhappen. We was all over them and took 30 shots and only 8 landed on target

Battered VVV all over the place and deserved to win 3-0.

We welcome Feyenoord at home. It was even matched teams between us. Thanks to strike dudo, Verhappen and Tomic getting goal apiece.

Martino put us ahead against Roda JC with a header from Pluim's corner kick. We conceded on 11th minutes after sloppy defending from us. Veltman got us the winner on 39th minutes.

Our loss against Schalke really disappointing. They took their 3 chances and we never did. Their first goal was massively fluke, Howdes got his first goal after Kroos made a mistake which he blasted it into the net inside the box. Jovetic got us a goal on 55th minutes which I was hoping it would be great for us. Unfortunately, Howdes, got his 2nd goal by heading in Meyer's corner kick to give them 2 goals lead for 2nd leg We got a massive job to do at home and hopefully we can turn it over.

March 2020



Decided to rest Verhappen, Maher, Veltman and Paredes(GK) against Heracles. We was all over them and disappointed it took us 77th minutes to find our breakthrough. Kroos got his goal with 20 meters strike in added time.

I decided to go back to 4-2-3-1 narrow formation against ADO Den Haag. Pingue put us ahead on 30th minutes with a close range header from Pluim's corner kick. We conceded on 44th minutes after Martino failed to clear the ball and they got the ball and scored from few yards out. Few minutes later, Verhappen put us back in the lead with a free kick. Ajax's De Bruin, converted their cross into his own net to level the score for them /o\ Then it's their defender turn to convert Maher's cross past his own goalkeeper to give us the lead Verhappen got his 2nd goal of the match with a header inside the box from Pluim's corner. Maher got the last say by adding our 5th goal from shooting inside the box, during the process he got injured after taking the shot by a late tackle from their player After the match, received no injury news about him

It was a easy match against FC Utrecht and we won the game with ease, with brace from Verhappen and goal from Kroos.

Verhappen carries on his goalscoring streak by putting us ahead on 2nd minutes with a free kick outside the box. We conceced a goal on 28th minutes to crap defending by the team. We was awarded a penalty on 45th minutes after Jovetic was pushed in the box which RKC went nuts about, Verhappen slammed it home to give us the lead going into half time. Van Beek killed the game off with a late strike to give us a win.

After the match, we was confirmed champions as we only needed 3 points.

Massive gutted even tho we beat Schalke 2-1 We was all over them and just couldn't find our way through them. Verhappen put us ahead on 24th minutes with a volley from 7 yards out. We conceded as Martino missed heading the ball and Goretzka headed in the net to give them a breathing space. Veltman got us in front on 72nd minutes to give a chance, But they JUST managed to edge us out and knock us out in the end

We finished off the month with 6-3 win over Willem II, Great to see Verhappen grabbed a hat trick for us. Nice to see our Academy player, Mulder getting a goal for us. Annoyed with 3 goals we conceded as their striker scores a hat trick, basically we plated it up for him. first goal, mistake from Paredes. 2nd goal - Verhappen gave a penalty away.

Oh Harry Won't surprise me if he gets 30 goals by the end of the season.

Erugh, Poor youth intakes Will sign any of them based on my HOYD suggestions.

April 2020



Fantastic ending to our season, with us going unbeaten!

We kicked off with a 1-0 win over PSV, we was really poor and was 2nd best against them.

Rotated the team around and smashed Sparta away 4-0. Was impressed with Tomic's performance.

Was a tough match against AZ, thanksfully we took our chances to win the game.

We came from 2-1 down to grab a late goal to draw against sc Heerenveen. Disappointed as we conceded 2 goals from set pieces

Transfers news

Alexis Sanchez will be leaving us in the summer to join F.C. København for 5.5M. Only started 4 games for me this season and wouldn't be fair to keep leaving him out.

Goodbye Ajax


Decided to resign after the season, felt it was getting too easy with Ajax. I enjoyed it immensely with them but this was going to be my last season with them as I felt I need a new challenge.


After I left, 8 staffs followed me out of the club. Will try and sign few of them with my new club ( which will be in the next update )

Hello Lyon!



I decided to accept Lyon job after they sacked Miroslav Djukic as they finished 5th in the Ligue 1. I have been keeping a close eye on Lyon job for a while.

Malaga also offered me the job few weeks before Lyon did but I turned them down. They offered more money on wage and transfer budget (2.5M) But I was settled on returning back to France with Lyon.
