I went to see Southport last weekend. I had a weekend off in work which doesn’t come about much, decided on going a local-ish non league game. They were playing Welling, I have never been to see Southport before, got to the ground around 2, went around the club shop, bought a scarf to blend in with the ultras, obviously. Stood behind the goal, The Jack Carr Stand. Watched the Southport team warm up, stadium was fairly quiet until about 10 minutes before kick off. Later was told the attendance was just over 1000. Welling had brought a dangerous firm of 15. The first half was pretty much all Welling who had many chances to take the lead. Towards the end of the half, Welling’s goalkeeper went up for a cross to claim the ball only for the Southport striker Brodie to clatter him just after the ball was gone, when getting up from his bruising, the Welling goalkeeper stamped on him, resulting in a red card. Second half, Southport regrouped, they started to create chances with the one man advantage but still struggling to put the ball in the net. The game was still 0-0 into the 4 mins added time, until, neat footwork from Brodie who crossed into the box, for Connor to finish. Right in front of the Jack Carr stand, the yellow ultras went wild. Choruses of YEL-LOW YEL-LOW were loud. Just before the final whistle went, the player-manager Day left his foot in on Brodie, another red card. The final whistle went shortly after this, huge 3 points for the Sandgrounders. I really enjoyed my experience with Southport FC, I will most definitely be travelling to see them again.

Every game under Blackwell was less embarassing than our 'performance' last night. Sickening

Good win over Birmingham last night. The first half was awful both teams missed good chances but not alot else happened. Second half was alot better Marshall scored a very good goal and tormented Eardley until he was rightly sent off. Marshall was brilliant for the rest of the half but we couldn't secure the win and we missed so many chances mainly from Cairney, Varney and Marshall. But we held out only just though as in the 93rd minute they hit the underside of the bar which was very close to going in! Rhodes and Gestede were also both substituted last night and neither looked about it but they didn't do too much so I feel it was the right decision. Rhodes did do well to set up the goal though and also set up a great chance for Evans.

Good too see you went to a game like that mate I have been to watch Bath a few time and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I remember Brodie was supposed to be the next big star when he was at Crawley!

Decent point last night against Brighton. I want to see their goal again because the team was convinced there was a handball by the lad who scored - I have to say I saw something but at the distance I was at I really couldn't tell and it was all over very quickly, so it might be nothing doing and we were just trying to stop the ref giving the goal after making a mess of defending a corner (and if we were it'll annoy me - just defend the damn thing better rather than looking at the officials to give things that haven't happened). But it had been coming after we invited pressure after going ahead, and Brighton deserved it.

Kazenga LuaLua deserves credit for being the most annoying footballer I've seen this season. He got booked for haranguing the linesman in the first half, then proceeded to moan and complain about every decision. The ref finally lost his tether in the 93rd minute when he sent him off for a pretty innocuous foul on the halfway line, presumably because he'd had enough. LuaLua tried to stay on the sidelines, had an argument with the fourth official, then sheepishly sloped back to the dressing rooms.

Brighton have changed. They still pass it aimlessly and are about as interesting in possession as watching paint dry, but, with the exception of LuaLua, they're not a side which surrounds officials this season, nor do they dive around and try to con the ref. I suspect the manager has something to do with that.

We loaned former Shaker Tom Kennedy from Rochdale with view to a permanent deal in January. A signing that leaves more questions than answers. Why do we need another left-back? Is Flicker losing his nerves after one heavy defeat? Why happens to Chris Hussey now? And why does it have to be Kennedy anyway?

TK's qualities are known around this place and he lead Barnsley's assists statistic in the Championship last season, so he knows how to get the ball in and is a very good defender all around. But some people (myself included) can't forgive how he celebrated his goal for Dale in the Derby in front of our stand so he'll probably have it hard, harder than Adams even. But I can't help but feel something went off in the backroom. You don't make such a signing shortly after a 5-0 defeat if you believe in the team and just want to fix things. Of course, I'd say he's a good signing but something doesn't add up here.

Saw that and had a good giggle. And I'm delighted with a point after being 2-0 down at Ipswich. I reckon they'll make the play-offs this season, so to get something from there after being behind is a massive bonus. Roll on Forest!

Won 3-0 against Cheltenham, the ref took the fucking piss though; our right back had a bit of blood on his shirt so the ref wouldn't let him take a throw in, made our physio run all the way around the pitch (was on the opposite side from the dugouts) and then, when he changed his shirt and got cleaned up, wouldn't let him on for 5 minutes because he's a cunt. Apparently the ref's assessor who was in the directors box said he fucked that up.

Great win today absolutely delighted! First half we were poor and we deserved to be 1-0 down. A quality second half performance though mainly when Gestede came off the bench! Baptiste did well to smash in the loose ball to make it 1-1 and then Gestede made it 2-1 with a great header after a run and cross by Williamson and Rhodes scored with a good finish across the keeper with his left foot! Great passion by the players after the goals and at the end and by Bowyer!

What is it with Hill/Flitcroft and their obsession with signing their mates? I guarantee you'll sign at least one other player that he managed with us, before the season ends. Strange pair those two.

Excellent result, really unexpected! Let's hope we can push on now v Reading at home and get ourselves in that top 6 at long last haha. Great to see both Gestede and Rhodes on the score sheet.

Can't believe Birmingham....that is just ridiculous. Well, and Leeds - but I can believe that with that nutcase in charge.

Some FFP predictions: http://www.financialfairplay.co.uk/latest-news/which-championship-clubs-can-expect-to-receive-a-transfer-embargo-

Not sure how they work some of them out. I'm still not a fan of FFP, but I do think that if it's to work you need to enforce points deductions and prevent teams who don't comply from being promoted. Let's say Bournemouth went up this season with a massive FFP fine - they'll essentially be reaping the benefits of breaking the rules, and the only way to stop that is to dock them 20 points, just as an example, to make it a 'fair' competition for other clubs who do comply.

Well, its all doom and gloom for Yeovil right now, relegated from the Championship last season and currently sitting at the bototm in League One! Another relegation (although its early days) would ruin the club financially I feel.

Great win again for us yesterday 3 wins in a row now! Ben Marshall was again brilliant setting up 2 and scoring with a fantastic free kick! First half we didn't play well and we were lucky to be level but they only scored right at the end of the half. But second half we deserved the win and we are now just a place outside the play offs
