Well its a tough decision GG.Com, unfortunately I can#t complete the hero achievement here with Coventry as you need to take them from the bottom which is where I started with Woking.

Another New Chapter - 4th - 17th November 2023

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/atY1HVYI3Np19QAqQfMFtD8mfWvCITWoiJsVoJ89.png

So it was time to decide what to do. It wasn't the easiest choice either. Woking had become my longest club I've served at whilst Coventry were obviously in good shape in league Two at this moment in time in the league. But still it wasn't going to be easy.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Yih6eyavPp9OZaWIHskxFNDhWCFHjwh0SSsig5yC.png

On the Fourth of November I did indeed step down from Woking after a decent stint in charge. I saw out eight hundred and forty eight days in charge here, my first job in England, my longest job in this career to date. We played one hundred and twenty five, winning eighty four, drawing twenty two and losing nineteen. Whilst we scored three hundred and twenty goals. We also scooped two league titles, promotions and a cup win along the way.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/6BwI22921DKrarPfsC1VnAE9lLnEpfrTvauMaI5p.png

After applying for the Coventry job, a successful interview occured and then this saw the Coventry board jump at the opportunity of me to be at the helm of the club. Originally they offered me a two year deal, however I've changed it and I will only be at the club until the end of this season as I hope we can secure promotion this year to League One.

And so, bring on the next few months! Coventry City manager, confirmed!

Coventry City - November 2023

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/B13Za4GqkO8b1YZStxTtx524juaOQV8FvOzgbmHP.png

Welcome to Coventry City, it wasn't a big welcoming as I was thrown straight into the gauntlet, making sure I was ready to take Coventry City to the top of League Two and hopefully get them to stay there, taking them to the league title. I only aim to be here a few months, lets get this done!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/elInqM4FwU4BcsmhxSp2275Fu4YB4ILUIZU9ui1Z.png

Only two games for me come the end of November, I had a game just a day after I took charge. We played two and won two as well as keeping two clean sheets, its been a brilliant start.

We started away at league leader Mansfield and they weren't league leaders for long as we left it late but claimed a two nil victory over them. Brier netted thirteen minutes from time to send us ahead whilst Morrall netted three minutes into injury time making it two nil.

My first home game saw me receive a standing ovation from the crowd, a warm welcome and we played well on the pitch, beating Crawley three nil. Morrall put us ahead in twelve minutes whilst Callum Ball netted two after the break, including a late one from the spot, secured the three nil victory.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/FUbMmPxVSSXCfuPYQDpsVdbvcDsnSO2JU0SoLAnQ.png

Well I've already taken the first step which is taking Coventry to the top of League Two, now all we need to do is try and hold this out and perform well, consistantly to claim the league title. One point clear of York who sit second but we look to push on. Coventry are out the Capital One Cup and the Johnsone Paint Trophy now so we have just the League and FA Cup in play.

Is the Hero achievement obtained by doing it with a single team, or you can do it with multiple teams provided you go through every single division? I was always under impression that it was the latter. Any case, good luck at Coventry,.

It's a shame that the form with Woking was inconsistent this season and that led to your resignation, but, an excellent switch to Coventry as that should see you chalk League Two off the list, and you have an excellent transfer/wage budget to work with. Two good wins to start you off, and clean sheets in both.4

KIU and please don't beat Woking too heavily.

No I think you've got to take one team from the bottom to the top GG.Com

Well for the sake of the career I needed to move on quickly Shedender and when such a vacancy as Coventry was open I couldn't look away!

Coventry City - December 2023

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/B13Za4GqkO8b1YZStxTtx524juaOQV8FvOzgbmHP.png

After last months two games and two wins I felt confident I had made the right choice in switching and leaving Woking despite them becoming close to my heart with the longest reign for me to date. But my first full month at Coventry would see me face Woking as a busy winter month came and went.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/aso4TraoKua3p4DX7luuwSu7dGxGPPu8vFH21KIq.png

As I said, a busy month, it started slowly but we build it up to go four unbeaten come the end. Seven games throughout December saw us win four, draw two and then lose just one, one I can't complain too much about.

We beat Torquay four three to open December. Our goals came from Ball, Harvey, Morrall and Young as we took a narrow victory on the road.

We stayed on the road to face Accrington in the FA Cup Second Round and we claimed a draw to see a replay late in the month. Ball netting on the stroke of half time put us ahead but we conceded second half.

Our first and only league defeat to date came on the road at Oldham who beat us one nil, eighty ninth minute goal saw them win it.

Back at home, for the first time this month and we welcomed Accrington in the FA Cup again and the replay was ours. We strolled to a four one victory as two own goals helped us along with goals from Ball and Duffy secured the win.

We drew with Cambridge one a piece. Ball netting again after forty minutes but we conceded second half.

We welcomed my former employers Woking on Boxing Day and ran out a narrow two on victory. Ball netted a brace for us, netting either side of half time whilst Woking netted in injury time of the second half.

We ended the month against Southend at home and claimed a four two victory which was very pleasing. Poole brought us level after we went behind and we found ourselves two one down at half time. Ball, Pierre and Morrall secured the come back and three points.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/VwWXK9GogCuxuDikBNHXjNRpWo2p71PkRQGtkqCQ.png

Halfway through the league season and going into the New Year, we sit top of the table but York, who we play next, remain hot on our heels, just a point behind. Unfortunately Woking are slipping down the table.

Coventry City - January 2024

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/B13Za4GqkO8b1YZStxTtx524juaOQV8FvOzgbmHP.png

Well into another New year, the year of 2024 was now upon us. This New Year I didn't spend it in Woking but instead with the new side up in Coventry. January saw us bring in a loan striker from Southampton, not sure how much he will play this season. We also faced a rather busy month for the club.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/uak3C15HyjzmfL41D3yuZoMvmY0d9sCGdu4bnn37.png

Well, the month started very slowly here, but eventually it picked up and we really got going. Two defeats were quickly followed by four straight wins which included two clean sheets too.

We began against second place York who sent us to second after this result. A tough one to take as we slipped to a three one defeat. Webb netted late on for us but it didn't save our blushes.

We narrowly went out the FA Cup against League One side Brentford they were better than us but we gave it our all, crashing out the cup may benefit us in the long run as we were never really going to win it. Campbell netted for us.

We got back to winning ways as we beat Luton three one for our first win of the New Year. Egbeta netted first for us before Ball netted twice for us either side of the break.

We beat title challengers Leyton Orient one nil away from home. We left it late as Gilman netted in the final minute of time!

Portsmouth travelled to us and lost our two nil as we kept our second clean sheet on the bounce. Duffy and Morrall both netting before the break securing the points.

The first month of the New Year would see us travel to Cheltenham and claim a three one win. We weren't brilliant but done enough. Ball netted twice, his first after twenty four minutes, with his second six minutes from time whilst Campbell netted in the final minute.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/gfJmxzSpT2AX1wN7wb2KVrzPzfr4MApe6jyWVbe8.png

Eighteen games to go and we are finally in a bit of breathing space. We now sit three points clear of York, still not enough to get carried away about, but something to build on now!

So we were out the FA Cup but still top of the league, narrow margins though as it seemed it would stay that way for the whole season. York weren't letting us run away with it which was fine by me, I'd rather play a tight season anyway.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/rTrmLYCHqyYUdUDDK4Ms5oCbmf8TMPS0ypk6yEVB.png

This month seemed to be opposite to last month, we started well in February but it faded away in the last two games. Only one clean sheet though which was a step backwards again.

We started the month beating Stevenage three goals to nil, our only clean sheet of the month. Harvey put us ahead in twelve minutes with French making it two nil Morrall made it three in the second half.

We beat Harrogate five two in a dominant showing. Pierre netted our first whilst Southampton loanee striker French netted our remaining four games as we ran away with it.

Our third and final win of the month came as we welcomed Oxford who we dispatched three goals to one. We led through Harvey inside the opening minute but things were level at the break. Second half Morrall and Young netted to secure the points.

We lost one nil at Newport Country poor showing as they finished with ten men to.

And to end the month, a one all draw against Plymouth who are chasing promotion. Bier netted to open the scoring but a second half goal saw the away side grab a point.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/wPqa4JOnKyO4pCb8jSYCrV8fR1zL1jWoGZa7JIin.png

Thirteen league games remaining, we stay top of the table but York are still hot on our heels as we sit just three points ahead of them still! Woking slip closer and closer to the relegation zone! I hope they can survive!

Into March we go and with just the league on our minds we had to try and move away from York who as I keep saying, are so close to us if we slip up once they'll be right here ontop of us! A busy March awaited us.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/nDYsKHFD5DHIkfPW3sYt8fBNSrLl6rA73R13WBiV.png

What a month! Almost perfect for us. We faced seven games in the league and won six of them, losing out just once whilst we also kept four clean sheets from seven to! It was brilliant to be in charge of Coventry this month.

The month began with a trip to Grimsby who we beat one nil. It was late but great as Rowley netted in the eighty ninth minute!

We then welcomed Hartlepool who we destroyed five nil, much to the delight of the extra fans on the fans day. Ball, Kennedy, Morrall and Harvey all netting in the the first half whilst Morrall netted his second in the second half.

A poor showing away at Fleetwood saw us slip to a four three defeat. We weren't really in the game. Ball netted early but we then switched off whilst Harvey and Rowley both netting in the final eight minutes.

Back at home we welcomed Carlisle and we ran back to winning ways with a four one win. Ball was superb after we trailed at the break. He netted a hatrick whilst Morrall also found the target.

A three one win followed at home against Burton. Kennedy netted early on but it was level at the break. Second half it was left to inform striker Ball to net twice once again.

Two clean sheets followed as we travelled to Bristol Rovers and won one nil. Callum Ball netting after half an hour.

We'd end the month with a home game against Mansfield who we beat four nil. An own goal early on set the trend before Harvey made it two nil at the break. Carter and Ball both netted second half sealing a great month.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/PVQBT0IpRpD1DJeBAyjrqRpRkgWNf9Ps5A0c8RZa.png

Now we are seven points clear, York haven't given up all the title hopes just yet! Its so close! We've secured a playoff spot at the end of the season but I'm sure we are in for more than that come the end. Delighted to see Woking up to eighteenth but just four points from the drop zone.

Coventry City - April 2024

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/B13Za4GqkO8b1YZStxTtx524juaOQV8FvOzgbmHP.png

So here it was, the final few games of the league season! We were just short of securing promotion and hopefully the league title as we went into the last month of the season. With six league games to go we go into it sitting seven points clear! We could even break the one hundred points tally for a third season running, just at a different club this year.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/rnUm1nBaETy1rxLLieluUY4ydHW4QN8TbHGTSSu1.png

Wow wow wow! What a final month we went on to produce, the best month by far! We won all six of our remaining league games, meaning we broke the one hundred points tally whilst we also went on a streak of ten games won on the bounce. Just one clean sheet on the final month of the season.

We began away at Crawley as we won four two. Cooper netted a hatrick in the opening thirty seven minutes, his third from the spot whilst Duffy netted our other goal, all our goals in the first half.

A three one away at home against promotion chasing York saw us all but secure the league title. French netted twice, he's been superb since joining in January whilst Carter put it beyond doubt in injury time of the second half.

For the second time in three matches we recorded a four two victory. This time over struggling Southend. A hatrick for Morrall, something to do with sixes helped him secure the win whilst Duckworth also netted in the first half for us.

Torquay then came and fell at our feet, as we won two one. Both our goals in the first half as Ball netted a spot kick and Duckworth made it two in two for himself.

Our only clean sheet this month came as we travelled to former club Woking and claimed a narrow one nil victory. Our goal came in the second half through Harvey.

We ended the season in May with second place Oldham visiting us and we dispatched them with ease. French netted within a minute but at the break its one a piece. Second half Harvey made it two one before Rowley netted our final goal of the season to secure the win.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/U1wsNHSaKk3olSbsJZ6b9Pwseu1qxToUTdncnjX8.png

And there it is! League champions and one hundred points for the third seasons running, just at a different club this season. We ended up winning the league by twelve points whilst Oldham finished second and York who slipped away late on, finished third and won automatic promotion as well. Delighted to see Woking finish in the league, staying in eighteenth place.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/B13Za4GqkO8b1YZStxTtx524juaOQV8FvOzgbmHP.png

The season has finished, a season where I ended up managing two sides, half an half for the season and to be fair it was the right switch for me as I ended up running away with the League Two title. That was trophy number four ticked off the list in England, but with another seven still to win there was plenty of work to do.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/hLkoqBBFaipZdFWBpC7VH8E0wnH7q79yEPqEgsCY.png

Blackpool had a horror season in the Championship last season and along with Bolton were one of the teams relegated. I applied for several jobs this summer, Blackpool and Bolton relegated from the Championship whilst Bristol City had a bad season in League one and were also interested in me taking charge.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/EG3J491ryiMZRuxJa6hOFdYvBRk6rXJQH5iAQ3Ld.png

Blackpool were the first club to approach me with an offer despite attending a couple of interviews which did annoy the Coventry board, but I didn't leave before a job offer just in case nothing came up. I will take charge at Bloomfield Road for two years, not sure if it will be two or just the one. The board have me on board!

Blackpool - The Day Of My Takeover - June 2024

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Jm0LXkEuQOKNlF7cRD66ht3DlxG6U2vXgZpDixCK.png

Having switched to another club, moving from Coventry to the coastal area of Blackpool, I thought I'd show you what I have to work with on the day I joined Blackpool. Obviously I'll have the whole summer to try and improve the squad and the staff etc, but it shouldn't need too much work with any luck having just been relegated last season.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/F1M1rAIanYKwE1CoCTj7MX74GtbZim4DAwlz9eah.png

Financially the club are very secure but as you'd expect having just dropped down to League One. With over three and a half million pounds in the balance I'm hoping the board will reward me with some of that money to spend next season to win the league title. Currently have just under a million to spend but hoping that will change. I also need to make major changes to the wage budget.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/6zZt2JIFCNcANWSdcVqHCQVqBUtDTaLnfdXz4Rm3.png

Here's my full English backroom staff that I now take control of! As you can see I now have continental reputation, the best reputation in the club. I only have a Continental B License whilst a couple in my staffing ranks have Continental A and even Pro Licenses. Need to add a few new faces this summer to strengthen our scouting and coaches.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/PXg6LNjdLtPx8K236Gy8JredBJ4ErBoAkanQiYoZ.png

And finally, here is the squad I take charge of as of June, before the side has actually been submitted into League One so some of their ratings may change a little. Arild Ostbo looks a strong keeper for us. Defence is looking likely out biggest hurdle to try and improve. Our midfield looks okay whilst our strikeforce could do with one or two new faces. I'll definitely look to use the loan system this summer.
