Had some luck in that game but Southampton seemed like they didn't know what to do when they got into the box and the only way they were going to score was if they won a penalty. Massive win for us though

They're defence is pretty bad isn't it? Forster is useless and Fonte, Alderweireld and Gardos aren't convincing.

Looks more like an extremely solid CM imo.

Well yes, thats what I mean. Schneiderlin and Wanyama are a wall in front of them.

They've conceded 19 times in 26 games.

Why is no one mentioning that Barnes wasn't actually attempting a tackle?

PS on Harry Kane watch, he scored after Adrian inexplicably pushed the ball into his path. Rather than pushing it wide, which was the easier option.

Wasn't Alan Smith's leg broken from a Riise shot? I.E the ball broke his leg? Or am I thinking of something else?

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. The whole "argument" people are using for Barnes getting banned is "he nearly broke his leg". Which is basically saying that if anything happens that breaks (or nearly breaks) someone's leg, they should be banned

Barnes knew Matic was coming and could have quite easily 'stabbed' at the ball with his foot rather than follow through knowing full well he would make contact with Matic. The one on Ivanovic wasn't a lot better either. Both are just crafty tricks anyone that's played football for a good length of time knows they can get away with and he did.
