Fuck knows where Reid was, I know he's been carrying an injury all season so maybe he was rested. Glad you had a safe trip home.

Biggest hangover today bro, but made up for quite a few shit away days this season. But again, this result means nothing if we can't repeat it against Luton at home. So no looking back and focus on what's coming

Well that's no consolation to me. Did you go out for a pre drink before the game?

That's what we all said about the Exeter game and then, true to form, we fucked it up against you boys but we're by no means out of it.

I'd have liked to go for a drink pre-match but we arrived pretty late and I hate drinking in a short space of time so I left that part out,

Nothing is lost for anyone just yet but we're getting to the point where every loss of points hurts even more, so everyone has got to keep pushing in order to succeed

True dat. Our fixtures certainly seem to be "winnable" and with this team, on the right day, we'll beat anyone. Our day just seems to be few and far between, but then there's absolutely no consistency at all in this league, no matter the team.

Dave Whelan has quit at Wigan chairman and given his 23-year-old grandson control.

Surprised he didn't mention breaking his leg in the FA Cup Final in his departure interview.

Apparently lost Whelan £1.3 Million and his restaurant. Sounds like a good choice.

So I only found out today that someone who comes with me and my mates to Chelsea every so often actually played for them and is a first team coach at Charlton. No idea how I didn't know this before :L

Lost 2 in a row, so therefore it's a mass suicide watch for Town fans.

That since Christmas we've won as many as we've lost and we're 11 points clear of Millwall seems to have eluded everyone. Christ, we should have done better than we have the last 2 games, but look at the bigger picture. We're going to lose games. We're occasionally going to lose 2 in a row - even 3! We were shite in both those games and got rightfully turned over by sides who put in probably their best performance (Charlton) and one of their best performances (Brentford) of the season. But since August we have made so much progress it's untrue. When Powell came in we'd lost 4 of 7 - then 6 of 9 when we lost the first 2 under him. After 10 games we had 6 points. We've got 36 since then, and we're not doing too badly, when all's said and done, when you take that nightmare start out of it.

Yes, Powell needs to be a bit more attacking at times, and needs to make subs earlier, but when he does play an attacking team and then we lose, fans get straight on his back calling for him to be more defensive. When he tries to tighten the defence up, the same fans moan and say he needs to be more attacking. Powell isn't perfect and he needs to be braver, but for fuck's sake, give him a chance.

We're hamstrung in this division. Unlike certain others (*cough* Bournemouth *cough*) we abide by FFP. I don't like FFP, but we are at least trying to become sustainable in the long term. We're not going to take the division by storm by spending beyond our means. We're reliant on doing a Burnley if we are to get up and more often than not we're going to be mid-table at best in this division. Which means we're going to lose games. There will be times where we don't turn up and lose badly against sides we should do better against.

People who use Brentford as an example for what we want to do need to be reminded of a number of things: 1) bloody marvellous manager; 2) promotion momentum with a side good enough to go up and stay up in the first place. In our promotion season we sacked our manager and needed a massive turnaround of players to be ready for the Championship after being fortunate to go up. I can also guarantee that if Brentford don't go up they'll be in the bottom third of the division next season - they'll have lost their manager and those players on an individual basis can't keep up top-end Championship football, which makes their achievements all the greater. And the very best of luck to them for the rest of the campaign. I've also seen Town do what Brentford are doing in my lifetime, in 1995/96, when we came up and promptly challenged all season at the top of the then-Division One, only fading from the play-offs in April. The next year? 20th.

Football fans annoy me. Bloody idiots, almost to a man.

Yes! Yes! FUCKING YES!

How important was that?

Massive 1-0 win over Luton. First half we absolutely battered them. Tremendous free-flowing football all around and we really should have scored more than one but once again we've been too wasteful. Second half we started off well but Luton made real pressure towards the end of the game and probably could have nicked a point but Nathan Cameron, who has been rock solid at the heart of the defence and Nick Pope, who made three unreal saves, won us the three points.

We are in a good position now aswell. Fifth in the league, same points as Luton and Southend, only five points off Wycombe who are third and six points off Plymouth and Stevenage who sit just outside the play-offs. This puts off a bit of pressure for our game on Saturday at home to Oxford but since we're already unbeaten in six and won all of our last four games, we're looking to extend our run

A Sheffield United fan by the name "Shred" died last week, he hadn't missed a game in forty odd years, at our 125 anniversary dinner the club decided to give out an award to the "biggest" fan, Shred was chosen unanimously, but rejected the award as he felt all Blades should be equal, the award sadly was never prevented at his wish, he died a few months later.

Sheffield United put a tribute together at tonights match with Peterborough, it brought a tear to mine, and many around me's eye. If you have a spare 6 minutes, please listen to it, the guy was what all football fans want to be.

We lost to an I jurybtime goal, on a pitch that had more sand than a beach, against a team with the worst manager ever. If we cannot score without our best player then we don't deserve to go up, and if we don't deserve to go up then something needs to change.

I worked with Shred, I was on the afternoon shift on Friday, going into work knowing he'd passed away there was horrible. He was a true gent and an amazing football fan. the tribute was very well done, although Shred would've hated to have all the attention aimed at him.

We had a shit ref too (the refs in this league are dog shit across the board in fairness); their keeper handled outside the box but wasn't even carded (or spoken to) yet our player who scored our first took his shirt off to show a Superman t-shirt and got booked, he had no control over the game, Northampton were derrrty cunts all game and he gave us nothing, I know every team thinks it's the way but truly this ref gave us nothing compared the slack he gave them.

Edit: Also Chris Wilder is putting in an official complaint to the Football League about our stadium announcer for apparently being down the neck of the fourth official throughout the game

Ooh, it isn't me having a go at a ref!

Right there with you, chaps. The standard has been dreadful this season. Today's was another bad one for us, but he's hardly an excuse for our own incompetence. He might have given us a penalty at 1-0, but to be honest we hardly deserved it. Somehow he thought their captain's second foul of the game was worthy of a second yellow card. Not in my book, I have to say, I thought it was a whole-hearted challenge for a ball being cleared and although it was a foul he was harshly done to. So a bit of balance in the game.

Five wins, and five clean sheets. We're starting to play some good football again, too. Level on points with the play-off places.

For the Blackburn fans - all of the five wins have come since O'Sullivan has been in the team. He started off looking fairly tidy, but adding some much needed width. He's gone from strength to strength since, and played a big part in two of the goals yesterday. Hopefully we can sign him permanently this time.

1-0 away win at Mansfield for us today. Clean sheet, no yellow card and a good performance, that'll do me. Ref TRIED to fix this as he disallowed our second goal but Mansfield were so bad he couldn't give anything their way so that's that. Another winning streak would be good. York away on tuesday will be tasty

An away point isn't to be sniffed at, even if we could have nicked it. Good for Joe Lolley to get his second of the season - he's a die-hard Villa fan, so especially sweet coming at St Andrew's.

Another piss poor pitch for us yesterday. Oxford's looked like a battlefield apparently but they were there for the taking and we didn't up our game to get the three points. Fair play to the 1290 away fans we took there yesterday, shame it wasn't a game befitting that kind of following but I won't sniff at an away point.

Nigel Miller was never letting us win that game. He allowed a ridiculous handball by Bradley Johnson to stand in the first half (only to be overruled by the assistant referee, who was neither blind, stupid, biased, nor bald), managed to miss a clear penalty when Martin brought Vaughan down when clean through and shooting, let Cameron Jerome get away with everything, and then there was the stoppage time.

Five minutes were indicated, which was probably a minute too much to start with. There weren't any injuries in injury time. When James Vaughan scored, there were FOUR SECONDS left of the five added on. Allowing for the original Vaughan booking taking 20 seconds, the referee was obliged to blow 24 seconds after kick off.

With Vaughan picking up a second yellow for taking his shirt off, we had Wallace ready to come on. He was stripped and ready, but the referee did not let us make the substitution. More than a minute into the additional 24 seconds, they won a free-kick. Miller again refused to let us make the substitution - under the laws of the game, this is something he is not entitled to do. If there is a stoppage in play, and a substitute is ready, he is obliged to allow it. He doesn't have an option. He refused to let us make the sub.

A few seconds later, he had checked his watch and had his whistle in his mouth. We cleared it. At that point, we were about 90 seconds beyond what should have been given, for no actual reason. They attacked again, and I can only assume that he carried on because he saw a potential goalscoring chance. A mis-hit shot rebounded to theirs three yards out and he scored. The ref promptly booked him for over-celebration (when he didn't take his shirt off - again showing Miller to be an absolute cunt with a penchant for not letting other people enjoy themselves if he can help it). As soon as we kicked off again, he blew the whistle. Nine minutes of stoppage time. The only proper stoppage was our goal, and you can't add the amount of time we took celebrating because the fucking clock had effectively stopped. We all know how it works, so why didn't the ref? The clock had been stopped for a minute, but in terms of time to play there was a matter of a few seconds, not the convenient two minutes he found.

I'm doubly gutted because we deserved to win. We outfought a very good side and showed the desire and heart missing against Rotherham. We created good chances and took two with quality finishes. The first goal we conceded was Carroll's fault for not just getting it wellied, and the second... Fine, we could have defended it better, but we shouldn't have been in that position.

Five minutes. Five. Plays nine. Gives them a goal. Unbelievable. Every time he's here he does something. Every fucking time.

1-0 win at York. Three points. Clean sheet. Only 4 behind Wycombe and Shrewsbury now. Couldn't be much happier.

Game was crap to be honest. We scored after 9 minutes and from then on it was a bit of a borefest. You could see York are a side battling relegation. Loked nervous and a bit afraid. Second half they got etter, as you can imagine, they had a pretty strong penatly shout denied and had some good chances towards the end of the game but luckily we scratched that one out and that's pretty much all that matters to me

Lost miserably to Dagenham and Redbridge without putting up a fight, the same as Oxford last Saturday, only Oxford weren't good enough to take advantage. We don't look like we want to win anymore, the players aren't playing for the club it seems.

They've been shite this season. Last season they were actually OK, best I've seen. Not just us, though - seeing as I've been dragged up at 4.45 I've been watching Wolves v Derby. The Derby disallowed goal...

And for Tuesday, I still don't know where he found the 4 added minutes on top of the 5 indicated. 30 seconds, 1 minute, fine, fair enough. 4 minutes? Taking the piss. Don't know why he booked their lad for his celebration either. Course he's going to celebrate, he's scored his first professional goal in the 98th minute to equalise. If he doesn't milk the moment and go bananas he's not a human being.
