I'm being bullish, obviously, and my opinion will probably change by the end of the window but I'm feeling confident at the moment.

Leicester have sacked Nigel Pearson. And for real this time.

Shame. His seemingly constant meltdowns in press conferences were quite entertaining.

Wow. Didn't see that coming.

He's a dick though so I won't miss him.

Apparently, the fact his son was in that orgy was what made their owners decide to jettison him, even after he signed Okazaki and Fuchs.

Might've been easier just to sack him at the same time as his son tbh. Can imagine it being a ballache to get things ready in the next 40-odd days.

I'd imagine he stuck up for his son and then became an even bigger arrogant prick when they sacked him (son), no real surprise to me.

West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace has confirmed a Chinese consortium has been granted 4-6 weeks exclusivity to try and buy the club. Would explain why they have Chinese bookies as their new shirt sponsor at least.

With Newcastle v Southampton at 1pm on Sunday 9th due to the Saints' Europa League tie, it means there'll only be 6 games on the first MOTD of the season. Weird.

Also first Friday night game in a while is Villa-MUFC. I think the last was when we played Arsenal on a Friday in September 2003... 48 hours after a UEFA Cup game.

Ranieri is the new Leicester manager. Didn't expect them to go for someone like that!

That came out of nowhere! Didn't sound like it went too well with Greece but hope he does well at Leicester, really likable guy.

Hope he does well with them tbh.

That's one way to stop him signing a contract with United.

Ranieri is a really strange appointment by Leicester, a step backwards. And as Lineker said, uninspiring.

Title race will be very interesting this year. United have done some cracking transfers, Sterling will add some spark to City's attack, Chelsea will remain strong as per and we've addressed one area of concern.

We're still two players short of genuinely contending and I'm not sure I have faith in Arsene to get what's needed; which will be thoroughly disappointing.

Sunderland fans arguing a 27 year old England International and multi-millionaire allegedly having sex with a 14 year old girl is worse than a 16 year old boy having alleged sex with a 14 year old girl. Because reasons.

Didn't know where to put this as covers all leagues, quite an interesting read.

Would've been better if they had done it on actual attendance rather than tickets sold.

Somehow they've managed to get the Etihad's capacity wrong in that.

Would've been better if they had done it on actual attendance rather than tickets sold.

Yeah. Imagine that would have been much more difficult though, not many clubs announce the actual attendance.

Fucking annoying how long it takes us to sign players

3 weeks to go and 5 quality signings needed to match our pre window target of 6.

Took us about 2 month to get 1.

We need defenders

Basically our defence is a shambles

Spending a fortune improving our attack is nothing if they don't do anything about it.

Why is there such a big deal about McClean? He hasn't done anything wrong, not like he said anything disrespectful or made any kind of silly gesture or anything.
