Hi guys, today I welcome you to the 4 th episode of my journey to rebuild AC Milan. In this video I show you what I did from November 2023 until February 14th 2024, including the player transfer session of January 2024 when I bought only 3 players (Tel on loan from Bayern, Coppola from Verona and Ciammaglichella from Turin) and sold Kalulu to Newcastle. I continue to play using my false 9 tactic and sometimes alternate it with the 4-3-3 narrow tactic I show you in #episode3. In this video you will see also how I play the match against Olympique Marseille for the 1st round of UEFA Champions League. I won 3-0 and in the second half I switch from the false 9 tactic to the 4-3-3 narrow because I did not have any winger or false 9 to replace Pulisic on my bench so I had no other choices than to use the 3 forward line. But usually it's not a good thing to change tactic during the same match because your players have to adapt to it and this can harm the team balance.
I often try to do some turnover in my season and also give some chance to the younger players I bought like Ouedraogo who scored also a goal and I am trying also to let Bennacer play more because he just had to rehab after a long injury (4-5 months) and in January he took part to African Cup with Algeria, so I did not have him available for 6 months but luckily he didn't got injured during the African Cup. He needs to get more fit so sometimes I let him play 20-45 minutes but not for the whole game.
