Hi guys, welcome back to my channel.
This is the 2nd and last episode of the series dedicated to Giovanni Trapattoni's tactics. This time I emulated his Juventus.
With this 4-1-3-2 I won the Serie A and Italy Cup with Juventus, without buying neither selling any players during the transfer windows.
HOW TO EMULATE THIS TACTIC IN FOOTBALL MANAGER 2024
To emulate this tactic, we start from a 4-1-3-2, but as mentioned in the tactical analyisis above, the formation is quite asymmetric and the back four defense can easily switch to a defensive trio. In this video you can see how I created this tactic, all players role and instructions, stats and highlights of my season.
Key points:
-Asymmetric defense (the right FB is only defensive and sits narrower close to the two CBs, creating a back three, while the left WB pushes forward)
- Middle block and standard defensive line
- Regroup, patiently waiting after losing the ball
- After winning the ball back, our team will choose whether playing a long ball to reach the strikers and counter attack or build the play patiently: no counter instruction
- A lot of space and free room given to our attacking midfielders and strikers, they roam around until they find the right place to create chances or score.
- Strikers are not instructed to press the opponents CBS and GKS, our standard defend and middle block pressing line does not ask our players to press very high and this will make it easier to avoid being caught off-guard by long balls played by the opponent GK.
