Founded in 1902, Real Madrid have subsequently evolved into one of the biggest and most successful football clubs in the world.
Their tally of 36 La Liga titles is nine more than bitter rivals Barcelona, while their record haul of 15 Champions League successes is eight ahead of AC Milan.
While their tradition of success makes them an appealing prospect for Football Manager players, the job is undoubtedly a tricky one to take at the start of the game.

Barcelona are Madrid’s fiercest rivals. They also have a local rivalry with Atletico Madrid, but this overshadowed by El Clasico.
