@Henta This isn't a bad cutout, but there's significant “snow” around the edges of the hair in the highlighted areas. You can follow the instructions in this guide video to remove the snow.

@Mansa Musa The image quality of this cutout is too poor to be considered an improvement.

When cutting images, you need to consider whether the image quality is good enough. A more recent image does not mean it will always be an improvement, especially when the current cutout is of very good quality.

As well as that, the image you chose to cut was a lower quality version of the original image, which might be good enough to be an improvement - provided you crop it to the area around the player's face first to avoid it being downsized by remove.bg.

@Mansa Musa First, he looks very similar to the current megapack cutout which was only cut in March last year, so there's no point posting a cutout that's of worse image quality.
Second, all cutouts should be 250*250px (or 180px if the image isn't high enough quality). Your cutout is only 220px, and the current megapack cutout is 250px, so it isn't an improvement anyway.

That's not the right person either, that's Steve Finan O'Connor.

edit: besides, Steve Finnan hasn't been in the FM database for a few versions (only in FM15 and FM19 from what I can tell), so there's not much point updating his cutout, as it appears that he is no longer involved with football.

@Eloy Gabriel Nuñez This image isn't the correct person, it's someone called John Lysaght. Make sure that you're requesting correct images in the future 👍

@Eloy Gabriel Nuñez you've squashed this image horizontally, so the proportions are unnatural, and the person isn't facing the camera, so it isn't a very good choice of source image.

@Paronomasiaster  I think it's just how the kit selection is coded, it isn't a very good mechanic. Even in FM21 we still see referees wearing grey shirts and black shorts against Newcastle wearing their home kit… The mechanic needs a total revamp.

One workaround you could use (but it's a hassle) is to remove the Alternative Kits shorts/socks in the editor, and have multiple versions of the 3D kits file - e.g. one with black shorts/socks and one with white - that you swap in/out depending on the game, remembering to clear the cache and reload the skin before the game.

@rekooner2 Just a minor thing to point out, but there's no need to leave quite as much empty space above the head. 2 or 3 pixels is enough space; you've left 8 pixels.

@Leonel Legal Instead of posting suboptimal sources again and again, read the advice you were given before to get larger,  better quality image sizes.

I assume it's because of the image quality, the one you uploaded is blurrier. Maybe this source from May 2021 would be better?

@Coach Treize This player already has a cutout from that same source in the megapack - why submit a smaller version?

@SC00P Firstly, this image is far too low quality to be of any use. Secondly, cutouts should be 250*250px (or 180*180px if the source image is too small/low quality for 250px). Read this thread to get an idea of the standards expected for cutouts 👍

@Paul Zinn This image doesn't have a transparent background, so it isn't Game Ready. Can you post the original source image?

As you've been told before, bolid is making all of the English league kits already, on page 254. It will be made when it's released so just be patient, there's no need to post about them every time.

@mons Filled in a little bit of missing collar which was visible on a dark background; since the Fluminense source images are precut it seems whoever cut them removed a bit of white-coloured collar too.

Larger and more recent

These sources are also from the beginning of the 2020-21 season (same photoshoot as the 12.18 megapack cutout in this case)

@hunter1722 Instead of uploading a lot of sources from the same team individually, it's better to do it as a Teampack 😉 You can do this by choosing “Upload pack” on the submissions page, and uploading a .ZIP folder containing the source images, making sure each image filename is renamed to that person's UID first so that the system knows which request timeline to post the image on.

@enesgshoplatır Before making any more requests, please read the Tutorials and Guidelines for Cutters thread, to make sure you understand what the standards for the megapack are, and how to use your time effectively to create a high quality cutout. You can also watch the tutorial videos in this post if you're looking to get started with cutting images quickly and easily using remove.bg.

If you just want to submit a source image request, please request the original size image as a “Source” request rather than “Game Ready”. We need the original size image to ensure that the cutout is of the best possible quality - the 250px image you've submitted has been squashed too much to be at all useful.

@sarwins Just be careful with snow and jagged edges, both sides of the chin and left side of the neck look quite roughly cut, and the hair has quite a bit of snow

@maxtod77 Be sure to check your images for snow before posting - this image has a line of snow/background on the left side of the image.

The source images were from Roma's website and of excellent quality (example in spoiler), so if alomiler cut the images with remove.bg using the same steps as in the tutorial it definitely shouldn't have introduced such jagged edges.

@Alessio Di Pierro That isn't the right person either, that's Frank Ondoa Obama. Make sure the images you're requesting are of the correct person.

Sorry, I take back the above - it appears the player's full name is Frank Cedric Ondoa Obama and he was referred to seperately by different names, with the club calling him Frank and everywhere else calling him Cedric. I'm not 100% sure but that's what this EFL pdf states, at least

You're right about the edges, they're very jagged (especially the top of the hair and the right of the neck). Were the source images upscaled or something? @alomiler
