@gonnaparty As well as this source already being cut and added to the megapack, your cutout is lower resolution and has quite jagged edges. I'd recommend using remove.bg instead of whichever method you currently use - there are tutorials in this thread if you need any

@Aleks Hessock Your cutouts still have very jagged edges and parts of the background not properly removed. Please read this thread for tips on how to improve your cutouts: https://sortitoutsi.net/content/360/guide-to-cutting-and-assorted-hints-tips-and-assistance

no, except he is older 3 years. How long you will reject my request because of your subjective opinion? If you don't want to cut just chill out and wait, somebody does.

Since the megapack cutout is 3 years old, there would be nothing wrong with an improvement being submitted, but the source image you submitted is honestly not good enough to be an improvement - the current cutout is excellent quality, and his appearance is still similar, so it's not of a high priority in the list of hundreds (if not thousands) of players to make new cutouts for. The face in your source is too small for a 250px cutout without having to enlarge it, which would lose quality, and the hair is badly precut with bits of white background that would need to be removed.

Try and look for the best possible sources - with a quick google search I found this one and this one which are better than, and more recent than, the one you submitted. With the tutorials and guides in this thread it's also quite easy to cut images if you'd like to create a cutout for him yourself 😉

I know it, and I always submit the best I can find. But i also submit them hoping someone can find a better one as often happens

If you change "header" in the transfermarkt image URL to "originals" you'll get the original image size 😉 Usually it's larger, although sometimes a tiny source image will be upscaled to their header image size.

Incredible work!
Any clue of how to make 3D kits for goalkeepers?

FM doesn't support goalkeeper kits, sadly

Am I right in understanding that this guy should have this cut then?

Yep 👍 I guess moving the cutout over to the correct timeline is the simplest thing to do :face_with_tongue:

@mons Removed a white line at the bottom of the cutout, also brightened it slightly and removed some snow from the edges of the hair

@mons I'm not sure what to do with this one - it appears that the researchers mixed up two different players with the same name.

The first Brandon Gómez is Brandon Esaú Gómez Castro, a Mexican goalkeeper who played for CD Atlas and Yalmakán FC in Mexico and is the player in the megapack cutout (and the other source previously requested by juancr7).

The "other" Brandon is Brandon Hugo Gomez (already in the database as Hugo Gomez), an American goalkeeper playing for LA Force, and it seems the researchers mistakenly also added Brandon Gómez to LA Force.

Thanks for the answer bolid,
Unfortunately, there is no stretched picture for that FC Ryukyu jersey.
The best pic that I got is also not straight up, but angled upward a little bit, lying in the bed, and had a bit of wrinkles on it.
I'll work on the other team's jersey for now. Thanks again!

Is this or this of any use?

@pablovester What sizes are the source images you're cutting? If they're large enough, it's better to size them to 250*250px than 180px - especially when many of the players already have high quality 250px cutouts as there isn't any point to having an inferior 180px cutout.

WRONG FACE... THIS IS THE FACE OF Paulo Domingos Gali Da Costa Freitas ID 2000017854

https://www.affsuzukicup.com/2018/teams/timor-leste#4

Thanks for pointing this out, I've uploaded the correct cutout for Paulo Gali. Do you know which of the people in the below picture is Domingos Ramos? It was the only picture of him I could find on FC Karketu Dili's facebook page. I think it's the person in the white shirt but I'm not sure.

Here's the uncropped version of the pic used but personally I don't think it's worth cutting.

Agreed, the only other photos I can find are a side-angle picture and a very small newspaper photo that wouldn't be worth adding either

Thanks for noticing this, I've uploaded a source for the correct player.

@KUDIKEYZ I don't think this would be an improvement over the current cutout. The top of his hair is cut off, and the image is blurry and low quality because it's been upscaled.

@LFCYNWA When the cutouts are from such low-resolution sources as this one, it's better to size them at 180px rather than 250px.

What I suspect happened is that you Ctrl-clicked the remove.bg cutout in the layers panel to select the layer and then rotated it; this doesn't perfectly select *all* of the pixels in that layer because of how transparency works - a 50% transparent pixel would only be 50% selected, a 10% transparent pixel only 10% selected, etc., and rotating that selection would leave the rest of those transparent pixels behind.

If that's what happened, in the future you don't need to have an active selection - just rotating the layer in the Transform tool without having it selected or using the Crop tool is enough.

@mons Removed the snow

Not bad @derkopite but it's not an improvement on the current and recent cut.

Also, don't leave more than 2-3 pixels above the head and in sources like this one where the person's head is tilted to one side, rotate it so that it's more upright 👍

@derkopite I think this source is good enough for a 250px cutout that would be an improvement 😉
