What skin are you using? Some skins only support certain types of backgrounds

Can you post a screenshot of your backgrounds folder?

You shouldn't have to edit any configs yourself, did you have the old version installed and then updated thrm with these? It's the easiest to delete the pack completely and then install these 5 new versions

To the people that used it, which skin are you switching to for FM23? Personally I really liked his style so would like to find a skin that is similar looking (especially the player and club screens)

@bhamichaelg If you remove the bit in red from the image url, you can get much larger versions for these, that will result in higher quality cuts as well

@Luciano Mercurio Very good first cuts, but please crop a bit closer to the chin. 2-3 pixels of breathing space is enough 👍

It's also recommended to use remove.bg to remove the background, it's a free tool that does basically all the work for you and delivers very clean results

1. Delete the config file in the external and internal backgrounds folder (or delete the internal folder completely if you don't want to use those)
2. Create a new config file yourself for the external folder as explained in this thread: https://sortitoutsi.net/content/60493/how-to-use-a-specific-part-of-the-megapack

So like this: 

Set the little dot to background and stadium and the drag the “stadium_backgrounds” folder on to the app. Then open the config with notepad and press ctrl+h and replace “background” with “stadium” and press replace all.

Config lines need to look like this:  <record from="xxxx" to="graphics/pictures/stadium/xxxx/stadium"/>

Can you be a bit clearer? We have 2 types of stadium images, the aerial ones and insides. Which one should be on the team page?

@mons When putting this through remove.bg the white bit of the shirt gets cut off, is there a way to prevent that?

@cookie2324 For sources on EFL websites the image url will look like this

Replace the segment ‘preset=square', or any other variant like ‘preset=header' with ‘anchorpoint=top' to get the largest portion of the top of the image, ‘anchorpoint=middle' for the centre portion and ‘anchorpoint=bottom' for the bottom portion. These can be combined to make a larger image than the one provided on each player profile.

The higher resolution source image you can get, the better the final cut will look 👍

@kanarokan I've uploaded the originals now. Btw there is a limit of 6 individual requests per user, but you can also upload packs. There is no limit on those, and they can contain up to 50 images each 👍

@kanarokan If you're requesting a source, there's no need to remove the background yourself, please just leave them in their original state 👍

Also for transfermarkt they resize all images to 300x390, sometimes the original is bigger and sometimes smaller, even if it is smaller it is better to get it that way

1) Go to the player's/staff's profile, click the profile image to view a larger image, and open that in a new tab.
2) You'll get something like this URL: https://img.a.transfermarkt.technology/portrait/big/435648-1576766482.jpg?lm=1
3) Copy this part of the image URL, the rest doesn't matter. https://img.a.transfermarkt.technology/portrait/big/435648-1576766482.jpg?lm=1

4)  Then paste that part of the URL at the end of this URL: https://tmssl.akamaized.net/images/portrait/originals/

Now you can get the actual full-size image instead of one that's resized to 390px tall.

@Alex Gomez200 These are not bad at all, but they are lacking a bit of quality and some are cropped a bit too far from the chin. The quality might be due to the source image, but you also need to crop out the face before putting it through remove.bg. That site has a limit output of 500x500 pixels, so if you put the whole source image through it will lose quality. This video shows what I mean 👍

@bhamichaelg also try to find the most recent possible sources please, this is from when she was a player at Eindhoven, so at least 8 years old

If you want to make a request, please use the upload image function on a person's timeline. You can request them as source if you don't know how to cut yourself 👍 (I found a bigger source now anyways)

Yes we have manually updated the CA and PA for some players, but of course not as extensive as the new game has. It will mainly be the top talents and players from bigger leagues.

@Footygamer It's still automatically ending loans and stuff under your name, but not much point in that if there will be no more updates right?

People doing research for the lower leagues is always appreciated! If you find the quality of the source is really bad though, please save yourself the time and skip those. In those cases we'd rather leave a person without an image until a better source appears.

You're right about the Etete one, I've uploaded an image of him in a Cardiff shirt now 👍

@smiteras The other cuts are good, but can you do this one again and crop it a bit further to the chin? Leaving 2-3 pixels of breathing space is enough 👍
