#276972 2015/2016 Kit Thread

Spurs' purple third number is also a decent looking number. Better than their bizarrely patterned 2nd kit.

I expect half of that to be wrong.

I liked your home strip last season. Quite a nice little arty fade pattern on the stripes, even if probably not one for the traditionalists.
Puma kits are shit though and in particular their design for this year suck. Yours isn't as bad as our awful home strip, but its hardly any better, and the black does not help.
Speaking of NUFC Puma strips...
Tbh, the best of our kits is our dark blue and pink number. And even then I hate the fact the sash is in different colours.
Could that sponsor be anymore shittily applied?

Even when we had a midfield worth passing too, he would be likelier to play it long. But the issue is less that, and more the fact he seems gone like the rest of our defence seems to have. In 2011/12 and the first half of 2013/14, he put in some impressive performances, and I don't really quite know what the fuck has happened aside. We've conceded 190 league goals in three seasons, and as a unit, something has gone extremely wrong. Maybe its easy to blame certain players, but Krul, Colo, Willo, Steven Taylor and Haidara have been around for most of that period, as had the old coaching staff.
Had this been a year ago, I'd have said yes. Two successive relegations doesn't half feel like its tempting fate.

I'm also slightly alarmed that Gael Bigirimana has been designated back-up to Daryl Janmaat, given Bigi has played there in 3 of the pre-season games so far. Much as I'm not convinced by our left-back options as well, we're tempting fate by only having one senior RB (Steven Taylor may've played there before but hasn't done in years).
Meanwhile, Adam Armstrong is joining Coventry City on loan. I do think he needs some time out at a lower league side so that could be beneficial.
In terms of defensive targets, I did like the look of James Chester, but the word from Sky is that West Brom have agreed an £8million deal. Bit of a rip-off that.

With any luck Mbemba will be decent but a CB with Prem experience could be useful. I also think we need a left-back, but who knows. Apparently Charlie Austin is close too.
Meanwhile John Carver has said he wants to manage NUFC again. Dear God haven't we suffered enough: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/newcastle-united/11766550/Ex-Newcastle-head-coach-John-Carver-I-took-a-battering-for-being-honest.html

But yeah. a centre back is the priority. I also think we should sign an extra left-back as I'm not entirely convinced by Haidara.

Clearly I know too little about the Belgian league. Hopefully for £23million they'll be good.

Given I'm still not sure Sissoko, Perez, Cabella or Gouffran work out wide, some width would be good. Thauvin might work, and would certainly be an improvement on the inconsistent Obertan. One or two centre backs and a possible left-back would be good too, as would Mitrovic.

I weirdly kinda like it. Plus no sponsor is better than that fucking wonga shite. Although yeah, I don't imagine it selling well.

As for Cabaye, I'm not sure if I wanted him back. It would've been nice and it'll be weird seeing him play against us, plus I can see him having a good game versus us. But there's still memories of him behaving like an arse to get out of the club in 2013/14, and £13million plus higher wages is a bit excessive for a player that turns 30 in January.
I'm still pondering what else we need. A new centre half or left back (or both) is ideal, and a new striker would be good too. We'll see what happens I guess.

He did score the winning goal if that's anything. I'm also aware he had a good game when Anderlecht drew at Arsenal in the UCL last season.

Also didn't know until then that Palace, like Bournemouth, are sponsored by Mansion. How many Premier League teams is it that are sponsored by casinos and betting firms?
