I'm guessing he's the YC replacement. Could be good though - certainly has the potential pedigree for that role. I guess now what we need are the new strikers.

I've seen a thing saying Fulham are willing to spend £10million on McCormack, which makes it a bit irritating that we're now being outbid by Championship sides.

He is good and underrated to a degree. Jack Cork also plays well, and they certainly underuse Gaston Ramirez. Maybe he'll get a chance now Lallana is leaning in Liverpool.

We clearly need new players, but its depressing the bigger number of rumours almost always seems to be with outgoings.

Didn't Andy Carroll sign a 5 year contract 3 months before leaving, and more recently, didn't Luke Shaw sign a 5 year deal with Southampton a few months back?

Xavi has said he's moving to Qatar. But even so stopping that would be an unenviable mission.

Considering he has said in interviews he feels inhibited by Pardew's tactics, wants to play in the Champions League and his bezzie mate joined PSG, what reason does MD have to stay?
I would like him among others. I would've preferred Snodgrass but he's reportedly signing a deal with Hull, so that's probably out.

Meanwhile, Tavernier and Abeid are apparently leaving (who knows why, especially in the case of the latter), Debuchy is being linked with a move to Arsenal as their replacement for Sagna, and all we seem to have done is tell Wonga.com we'll let them stay on as sponsor even despite their recent outing as fucking arseholes in the courts.
EDIT: There's a Twitter rumour Puma aren't happy at having to make kits with Wonga.com on the front, although if they care about ethics, maybe they should pay a better wage to their Asian sweatshop workers.
For crying out loud, it feels like we need a millennium to be even linked with someone, yet when a player is even linked with leaving, they can't get them out the club quickly enough.

That might work, assuming you can loosen Mike Ashley's iron grip on his wallet.

He's a total berk though. If he wants to be known for more than biting, why the fuck does he keep doing it?

Can we make Spain or Cameroon jokes then?
Blimey South Korea's goalkeeper was totally awful. Algeria did look good though.

Certainly a win for Italy keeps it interesting but the odds really are not in England's favour.

I remember got an entire cheer from Villa Park when footage of him being taken out by Agbonlahor was replayed on screens before the Villa-Newcastle game last year. But I suppose if he likes the club and has the money for it, it might work... well until the One Direction cash cow runs dry.

December looks like a killer series of fixtures already. Arsenal, Chelsea, Sunderland, Manchester United and Everton in a row could be a bad enough run to end the manager's grip.

Given it contains Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United, Everton and a Tyne-Wear Derby, December could be a brutal month.
