I know you weren't being entirely serious just saying before people come in and say i'm defending him for no reason, think its a dangerous precedent when you start blindly believing people making accusations against someone purely because they're abit odd.

His estranged daughter isn't just someone, and the accusation isn't new.

You know that is probably someone who speaks Gaelic and not just someone with an Irish accent right?

Yes, I'm not a fucking moron.

And the name of the language is Irish, fyi.

Checking job listings, found one ad asking for a native Irish-speaking babysitter. Easily the weirdest one I've seen so far.

Kallstrom is quite good tbf.

He was quite good. He's not going to be much more than a warm body on the bench for Arsenal.

The Kallstrom to Arsenal rumour is my favourite so far today.

Would have been a decent transfer like 5 years ago. Would be utterly ridiculous now.

Have you read Last Exit to Brooklyn Franck? If you like Irvine Welsh's stuff it's worth a try, Hubert Selby was a massive influence on Welsh, especially when he was writing Trainspotting.

I'll check that out

Nocerino is a properly talented, hard-working footballer, could be a good loan for West Ham. Wouldn't have any high hopes on Borriello though.

Although I don't really pay attention to height, just jumping reach.

Height acts as a cap for how high a players jumping reach attribute can get.

Hah, how dare he act like a completely normal 18-year-old!

Why is a 25-year old girl looking to have a date with an 18-year old boy?

Wealth and fame, obviously. It's absolutely hilarious that she expected anything different than what she got.

I'm actually quite impressed that Adnan seems to have his feet so firmly planted in the ground in spite of his recent success. If I made as much as he does when I was 18 I would have been an insufferable show-off.

Nothing to do with Jews though really, just Israelis

Hatred of one tends to spill over to the other.

I don't understand - does Salah hate Jews? Abramovich is Jewish?

Salah made a big stink about playing against an Israeli team in Europe. Made lots of political comments, refused to shake the other players hands etc.

And yes, Abramovich is a Russian Jew.

Never been a fan of hardcore racing sims tbh. Forza/GT are just at the right level of realism for me, if I wanted something more realistic than that I'd just jump behind the wheel of a real car instead.

I might consider that in 7 years when GT7 for the PS4 might be done.

Until then I'll have fun with Forza. Driving the Lotus F1 around Spa is fucking awesome.

Finished Skagboys today. Here's a copy-paste of my shitty attempt at a review:

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/e5/Skagboys_hardcover_jacket.jpeg

Skagboys - Irvine Welsh

Set in the mid-1980s Skagboys chronicles how Renton, Spud and Sick Boy, the main characters of Welsh's Trainspotting and Porno, descended into heroin addiction. The book employs the familiar narrative structure of the previous books, with each chapter acting as a short story of its own, recounting the adventures and thoughts of Welsh's vast cast of characters while switching back and forth between first and third-person. In addition to exploring the driving forces behind heroin addiction Skagboys also recounts the beginning of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Edinburgh and the alienation of the working class under Thatcher. While the book is gritty it never gets close to the level of gruesomeness frequently displayed in Trainspotting and also lacks its edge. Skagboys is a solid, well-written book and a better effort than the preceding Porno but ultimately it will only truly appeal to those already enchanted by the characters of Welsh's underclass Leith first introduced in Trainspotting.

Amour (2012) - Michael Haneke

Not in the mood to write a full review, but I feel I saw something different in this film than most of the reviewers I have read did. Whereas most reviewers tend to emphasise how depressing they found the film, I instead saw something very sweet and beautiful in the love and loyalty Georges shows towards Anne in their struggle against the brutality of old age. Haneke's detached and almost spartan directing lets the exceptional acting performances by Jean-Louis Trintignant and Emmanuelle Riva really shine and makes the film feel very real. It is very easy to forget that you are watching actors and not a real couple.

By focusing on an elderly couple that left the energetic passion of newly found love behind them long ago Amour offers us a very moving look at a different side of romance than we typically get to see in fiction, and the end result is as marvellous as it is heartbreaking.

5/5.

I don't understand why Dortmund think Ji will replace Lewandowski

They obviously feel he has untapped potential that Sunderland have been unable to bring out of him.

And like Reality Check said, he's not meant to be Lewandowski's replacement, they brought in Aubameyang for that.
