That'd just lead to two dead threads with little discussion.

You're years behind on a current TV series and go into active threads about it expecting not to see spoilers. I'd say you're the only cunt here.

And I am almost cheering as much for Iceland making the World Cup as I am for Sweden.

He had genuine musical talent though.
I honestly wouldn't have a single clue who those "One Direction" types were if they didn't keep getting mentioned in YouTube comments or trend on Twitter.

The Guard (2011)
Directed by John Michael McDonagh
Sergeant Gerry Boyle (Brendan Gleeson) takes an unorthodox approach to his role as an officer of the Garda Síochána, paying little attention to rules or procedure whilst shamelessly consuming drugs, drinking on the job and employing the service of prostitutes. After a mysterious murder and the disappearance of a young officer Boyle is forced to team up with the straight-laced FBI agent Wendell Everett (Don Cheadle) in pursuit of three drug-traffickers believed to be in the process of shipping $500M worth of cocaine into Ireland. The conflicting personalities of Boyle and Everett initially strains their relationship but as the film moves progresses they gain mutual respect and grow an unlikely friendship. The Guard is more than just a buddy cop film however, relying just as much on its strong wit and its depiction of the life and attitudes of rural Ireland to provide humour and drive the plot forward. The film is heavy on close-ups, letting the strong performances of its cast set the mood in each scene.
The Guard shines thanks to its strong wit, intriguing setting and a most memorable performance from Gleeson. The film is funny from beginning to end, only a very dour man would find himself without a smile by the end of the 92 minute run time.
5/5.

TDKR was good, the problem is that both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight were great and set the bar at a level that the third film quite simply doesn't reach.

In Bruges (2008)
Directed by Martin McDonagh.
My fourth viewing of this brilliant black comedy, which stars Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson as two Irish hitmen instructed to lay low in Bruges by their employer (portrayed by Ralph Fiennes) after a hit in London goes wrong. The film projects its carefully crafted cinematography against the scenic backdrop of medieval Bruges to create the surreal and fairytale-like atmosphere in which its equally surreal characters face their troubles. The two troubled hitmen and the odd friendship they share are as funny as they are fascinating, while the eccentric cast of supporting characters, ranging from an arms dealer seemingly obsessed with the "alcoves" of the local park to a pregnant hotelier, provide both charm and laughs.
In Bruges is well acted, funny and visually beautiful, the general strangeness of the film may be off-putting to some, but personally, I love it.
5/5.
