And yes, I know that question makes me sound like the Daily Mail.

I've basically kept the lights in my room on 24/7 since I switched because it takes hours before they actually provide any light after being switched on, and even then my room still looks like a gloomy dungeon. So much for "energy savings".

The second part of my post wasn't directly aimed at your post, rather the whole discussion at large.

Some people struggle with writing for a variety of reasons, as long as they are making an honest attempt to be understood their grammar really shouldn't be a topic of discussion. After all this is an internet forum, not an English language class. If you want to have a go at someone, mock their opinions, not their syntax.

No, it's just a lucky coincidence.

The greatest player to have come out of the Spanish cantera system in ~30 years is Argentinian.

It's the kind of thing that happens in football. It's the larger patterns that are important.
