Will become the most expensive player sold from Scandinavia ever, beating both Zlatan from Malmö to Ajax and John Carew from Rosenborg to Valencia. Overpriced surely.

Notice that all three are at least superficially similar players? Apparently the key to cashing in big as a Scandinavian club is to develop a big, technically skilled striker.

The Lightning have (somewhat reluctantly) announced that they are buying out Lecavalier. Rumours had it that the Lightning had been attempting a rule circumvention type move that would have allowed them to re-sign Lecavalier by trading him to a different team (supposedly the Leafs) along with an asset and then have the other team buy him out, the league apparently crushed those plans though which left them with the current situation.

The fact that Bateman's narcissistic tendencies are meant as a parody and criticism of such behaviour passes over the head of many and that's where his anti-hero status stems from. His fetishistic obsession with himself and his own appearance appeals to people who share that obsession.

No-one in their right mind would ascribe any anti-hero status to the brain-eating, chainsaw-wielding, prostitute-murdering side of Bateman showed in the film.

Read it. Your shine to Patrick Bateman will dissipate, rapidly. He's a repulsive human being. The tone of the book is drasticly different from the film.

It is one of the most difficult books to read though, the actual writing is a fucking pain to work through, but intentionally so. I took me about two years to finish it.

I don't need to read the book to know that.

Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83 they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost.

Over 100 days 'til the next time a puck drops on NHL ice. What am I going to do without hockey?!?

Only 5 days left until the draft though, and this year it'll be a good one. It's been said to be the best draft since 2003 and some have even claimed that it might end up being even better than that. Thanks to the altered format caused by the lockout TSN will be airing all seven rounds too.
