And now Iginla really is a Bruin...

1 year $6M. I guess that's your Horton replacement.

Red Wings, Bruins and Senators all looking good for next season, not looking forward to having the three of them in the same division as us at all.

Network shows are under pressure to get eyeballs watching every single episode in a way that a cable or premium cable show isn't, that causes a significant difference in how the shows are written well beyond just nudity and profanity.

Anyway, it has Mads Mikkelsen in it so I'll probably check it out.

So Hannibal is worth watching despite being a network series with themes that would have been more suitable for premium cable?

Also, Joe Morrow is meant to be a fairly promising prospect, definitely not just a throw-in player in the deal.

In other news Dallas are also trading for Shawn Horcoff from the Oilers today, apparently Philip Larsen is going the other way. Jim Nill is getting rid of all the Scandinavians it seems.

Boston gave up a kid with serious attitude problems in exchange for a really, really good two-way winger entering his prime years with three straight 70+ point seasons behind him, they haven't lost that trade in any way.

Seguin could become a 90-point 1st line centre one day, but that would take a level of professional commitment that he simply hasn't shown at any point during his time in Boston. Maybe Dallas can change that, but there really wasn't much chance of it happening in Boston.

As a Habs fan, I hate the trade. Eriksson is going to fit in great with either of Bergeron or Krejci. Seguin was a talented player, but he was prone to going invisible in games.

Danny Briere has reportedly signed a 2 year, $8 million deal with the Canadiens. Not a bad player but a little too pricey.

Marc Bergevin just keeps making this team even smaller. Nathan Gerbe next in line?

I do not. I am somewhat inebriated and pissed at some of the mongols on this forum (excuse the irony)

You...
I mean you are on a wind up this time, right? Even if you're not aware of the reference, you must've read the rest of the thread?

Just for the sake of how fucking funny it'd be, I'll just assume that he was oblivious to the reference.

Loui Eriksson is awesome, and I don't just say that because he grew up 15 minutes away. One of the best two-way wingers in the entire NHL.

So Lecavalier is headed to Philly. Gutted he isn't going to Montreal.

And just to make the day even better, we have traded one of our most promising prospects (Kristo) to the Rangers in favour of another midget (Christian Thomas).

Anzhi's title challenge fell apart after they sold Samba, would make sense for them to be eager to get him back.

Finally got to see The Place Beyond the Pines. A brilliant piece of film-making, the first and second acts are spectacular, unfortunately the mediocre third act drags the film down a bit.

I like Fucale at 36. Not so much at 25 (though I'm absolutely not sold on Michael McCarron either).

Hate that the fucking Canucks stole Subban from right under our noses.

Best Q draft in ages and the Habs draft an American. Huge guy but I fear this might end up being a Hugh Jessiman 2.0 type of deal.

I wonder if anyone will spoil the narrative and prevent the Devils from drafting the son of Martin Brodeur in their own rink.

So the guy I wanted (Mantha) is now gone, two guys I really don't want but think we might take (Fucale and Gauthier) are still there. Fuck me am I getting nervous.

doesn't Dany still have a crapload of Dothraki on horses? or have they fucked off?

They all fucked off. I guess her hope is that with her dragons and the unsullied she'll be able to regain them.

I fear the Habs might be picking Fucale if he's still on the board at 25. I would die a little bit inside if that happened.

Absolutely do not want a goalie in the first two rounds.

And fucking 'ell at Schneider being traded

Someone has created a gallery of a few of the main characters in the style of GTA artwork, pretty cool.

I don't think her army is that small.

She's got ~8,000-10,000 penisless super soldiers and another 2,000 of Andy Carroll's band of men.

Robb won every battle he fought with ~20,000 part time soldiers. The training of her army is superior enough that it should negate that numerical disadvantage.

First off, for all his naïvety Robb Stark was still a military genius, Dany most certainly isn't.

Secondly, Dany's army consists almost entirely of infantry, not only do the armies of Westeros outnumber hers greatly, they also have armoured knights, archers and most importantly, cavalry, something Dany almost completely lacks. She wouldn't stand a chance.

And that's without taking the really geeky stuff like supply lines and such into consideration.
