You could easily say the exact same thing that you did about loan sharks. "It's short term. They are only bad when you fail to pay in time."

Fact is, both loan sharks and "pay day" loans are usury, something that shouldn't be permitted in a modern society.

Yeah they're short term lenders, the problem is when people use them and dont pay back within the time they agreed. Everyone points out the interest rates but they only apply when you miss repayments.

And loan sharks only break your legs when you are late with your payments....

He's still a very good player, he has the same amount of goals+assists combined in the league as Mata this season.

Doesn't matter how good he is, the cost of both his transfer fee and his wages would never be justifiable at a club like Newcastle. He's not going to put Newcastle in a title race all by himself.

Newcastle signing Rooney would be a clear return to their old transfer strategy of signing older players with big names for more than their contributions justify.

Would be quite funny seeing them chuck out their recent history of sensible transfers and return to their old ways.

Well it does say in their advertising they charge at 4214% APR and their chief executive has admitted they are a more expensive alternative to conventional loans. So, possibly.

Lager is about £2 a pint at my favoured bar. At more up scale establishments it's not uncommon for it to cost upwards to £20 though.

Just found out that there are twice as many British-born men residing in Sweden than British-born women. 14k vs. 7k.

Only other immigrant groups in Sweden with a similar gender imbalance are Russian-born and Thai-born, but there it is women who outnumber the men 2-to-1.

So if any of you lads get bored of the ugly munters you have over there in Ol' Blighty you're apparently quite popular with the gorgeous women of this country.
