Bah, no more Pokevision "cheat" website since they've come down hard on all unofficial websites and apps.

At least I am finally getting a bit better at this game! Shame I don't really stand a chance against all the kids and unemployed! Met someone at the lake near work today who must be plowing money into the game, must have bought and used 9 lures! I never understand people who pump money into phone app games.

Flying up the leagues, play offs are always the more enjoyable way of going up too

If you manage promotion again this season it will be an immense rise to professional football in such a short space of time. Best of luck!

Hooray, you're alive and your story is revived! Time to change your username to Lazarus.

Hopefully the form will keep your league position rising too.

I know in the past the league has already been set up and simply creating a new team would automatically enter you back into the Susie League, but it seems to have changed this year (or at least it has for me? I don't see any private leagues anymore).

So with that in mind I've created a new league for us, usual website: https://fantasy.premierleague.com/

League code: 755599-205172

Good luck to all!

West Ham not letting the money burn in their pocket, £16 mill seems to be the fee agreed for Sakho and they've bid £20 mill for Swansea's Ayew.

Away from Pogba, if we may, Sakho (the West Ham striker) seems to be going to West Brom as a fee has been agreed. Good signing for them, they've had no luck with strikers (that actually want to play for them).

Uwe Rossler takes charge at Fleetwood. Not too sure about that appointment, think it is probably just a short term thing in his mind.

I'm amazed at the manager changes so close to season kick off, it almost makes our board look competent.

In other news, Bury visit us today in a friendly. Hoping for an empty stadium. I hope no gullible fans have fallen for Owen Oyston's open letter and bought tickets, read through the lines and see he is still as much of a cunt as ever and it's a barely concealed threat, followed by delusion and then a plea to buy season tickets lol. Good to know we are finally hurting them where it hurts them most, their pocket. NAPM!

Great news on the improvement in the European places, I guess that is partly due to you thrashing your opponents in those qualifiers! Maribor will be tough, however.

Cork are playing particularly well away to Genk, they're 1-0 down at the moment though.

Finished that way as well, not too bad! Shame no away goal. At least West Ham managed that in their 2-1 defeat. Surely they will overcome them in the second leg at home? They may be the only British team to progress from this round, Aberdeen only managed to snatch an 88th minute equaliser at home against Maribor.

I know this doesn't usually warrant its own thread, but given the format shake up and the surrounding controversy I thought it might be worth it.

The group stage has been drawn, one of the changes, with teams from Leagues 1 and 2 being drawn in groups alongside Premier League and Championship U-21 sides.

Northern Group A:
Everton
Bolton Wanderers
Cheltenham Town
Blackpool

Northern Group B:
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Chesterfield
Crewe Alexandra
Accrington Stanley

Northern Group C:
Stoke City
Bradford City
Morecambe
Bury

Northern Group D:
Blackburn Rovers
Fleetwood Town
Carlisle United
Oldham Athletic

Northern Group E:
Derby County
Port Vale
Doncaster Rovers
Mansfield Town

Northern Group F:
Sunderland
Rochdale
Hartlepool United
Notts County

Northern Group G:
Middlesbrough
Scunthorpe United
Cambridge United
Shrewsbury Town

Northern Group H:
Leicester City
Sheffield United
Grimsby Town
Walsall

Southern Group A:
Reading
Bristol Rovers
Portsmouth
Yeovil Town

Southern Group B:
Swansea City
AFC Wimbledon
Newport County
Plymouth Argyle

Southern Group C:
Chelsea
Swindon Town
Exeter City
Oxford United

Southern Group D:
West Ham United
Coventry City
Wycombe Wanderers
Northampton Town

Southern Group E:
Southampton
Charlton Athletic
Colchester United
Crawley Town

Southern Group F:
Norwich City
Peterborough United
Barnet
Milton Keynes Dons

Southern Group G:
Brighton & Hove Albion
Southend United
Stevenage
Leyton Orient

Southern Group H:
West Bromwich Albion
Millwall
Luton Town
Gillingham

Crowds are usually small for the fixtures in this competition, even relative to their clubs. Surely a match against an U-21 side is not going to make the fixtures any more appealing? They are certainly not going to bring a big following, would be surprised if there were more than 100 away fans following their U-21 side anywhere. Also, imagine an U-21 side reaching the final, or worse two of them making it. Everton U-21s versus Chelsea U-21s in the EFL Trophy final, what a farce. I almost hope it happens so the organisers really how much they have destroyed an already ailing competition.

Allen off to Stoke then, guess Charlie Adam won't feature much this season for them. Arnautovic is a transfer target for Everton, don't think he would improve their side or be worth what Stoke are likely to demand for him.

Bournemouth seem set to sign Liverpool's Brad Smith, shame they didn't do it last year when he was available for nothing! I'm looking forward to seeing him progress and compete for a place there. Do Bournemouth still have Tyrone Mings on their books as well? Hope he has recovered well from injury and provides competition at left back for them too.

Fleetwood manager resigns after 9 months in charge and one week and a half before the new season! I thought they were the newest up and comings in the North West, what with their new training ground and so on. Guess all was not as well as it seemed.
