Who has supposedly paid her off in this scenario? And cheap excuse? I mean does she live in the 1800's?

I sometimes feel that Ched Evans is a bit unlucky. That the prosecution were desperate to nail him, to make an example out of them.

Then you read comments like that, and you can fucking see why.

Wouldn't like to see him banned by the FA. But would like clubs do stay clear of him anyway. At the very least he's not going to have the career he should have had. Which is the very smallest of victories unfortunately.

Also think non Sheffield Utd/Oldham fans signing petitions is wrong.

Quarter final of a league cup doesn't count as ambition

We also fielded a horrendous team and fluked a result against Man City.

And I watched it, pub near mine shows pretty much every game, they've never missed one, even in the Championship.

It's a decent enough cup run. Which was essentially immediately forgotten, as was being extremely close to a European Semi-Final. Likewise when Dalglish and Gullit were sacked after losing finals. Or when Souness remained universally unpopular despite being deep into two Cup Competitions very deep into the season.

Personally I just don't care anymore. Beaten in the 3rd round or the final, who cares?

And I thought the game was on literally zero TV stations or internet anywhere in the world.

How do you know he had a good game?

And Ashley has clearly been proven right not to give a shit, as literally a month after reaching the QF of a domestic Cup Competition, it's already been forgotten about...

Apparently Newcastle want Tuchel.

Good news is Hamburg, Schalke and Leverkusen have all appointed new managers this season, and Klopp seems to be soldiering on. Bad news is no one seems to have a clue what's happening with his sabbatical.

Yes. He's apparently going to be allowed more control over the first team than Irvine was allowed though. Not sure why the phrase 'full control' keeps getting used. No manager has full control over transfers.

Good to see Callum McManaman nearly break another guys legs. But I hope no one blames Mcmanaman for it. "I think we've been talking too much about it and it's a bit unfair on a young man to have to suffer that."

God I fucking hate Martinez.

I wonder how much money was actually initially placed on Nigel Worthington to create that much movement.

Why are we going of Calendar Years now, rather than footballing years? Newcastle were in the top 10 for pretty much all of last year, and Pardew has left the club far clear of relegation at the halfway point this year.

I don't know who I want, none of the managers that I know sound appealing (Hoddle/Bruce/Sherwood/Pulis) and I honestly don't know enough about the foreign guys (Tuchel/Galtier/DeBoer). Right now I'd rather take a chance on a foreign guy.

I also like a look of that guy at Augsburg.

I'd also be willing to wait until the end of the season for the right man, than appoint the wrong man now.

Feel a bit sorry for Irvine. Seems like an impossible job. Take over a team that finished 17th, and given a few outcasts and strays that weren't his pick.

Regarding Pardew, a fairly average manager. Probably taken the club as far as he could. One excellent season, one poor season and 18 months of alright. Nowhere near the disaster some have made him out to be.

The likely list of replacements seem to be underwhelming or unlikely.

Club have confirmed compensation agreed and Palace have permission to speak to him.

Amazing how quickly this has developed from a whisper to the big story in town. Also irritating and a bit boring to see the queue of people describing NUFC fans as fickle.

In fairness it seems to be the people who were most Pro-Pardew are now the most anti-Pardew....

Just not Hoddle or Sherwood. Just not Hoddle or Sherwood. Just not Hoddle or Sherwood.

Yeah I'd imagine he probably isn't very well paid he was managing in L1 before he was appointed. Imagine it went up a bit with the new contract and a lot is performance related I think.

Llambias was one of the lowest paid Directors in the League as well. And can't imagine Charnley being on much as well.

BECAUSE PALACE ARE GOING TO PAY HIM IN PINEAPPLE CHUNKS.

No idea.

I'm guessing he's just fed up and sick of Newcastle and wants a return to London would be the most obvious answer right now.

Amazed tbf, first time I can think of when a manager is willing to take an obvious step backwards. Normally the ego just doesn't allow it.

The gambling debt story doesn't make sense. It's literally stupid as fuck.

Wasn't it Spurs who got upset with De Boer when he went public?

Also are people seriously thinking the Ajax manager wouldn't want to work under Ashley due to the possibility of player sales?

Can't complain about Pardew playing players out of position then want De Boer. It's illegal.

Tuchel not even on the longlist odds either. Gary Rowett would maybe be my personal punt in the dark.

Chronicle seem to suggest Pardew is politicking, but I'm not really sure how you can politic at Newcastle, or what he hopes to gain from it. More control over transfers?

I know the fee bandied around is £6m but that seems ambitious. If there is a break clause it seems like it would probably cut both ways.

It doesn't really make any sense, unless he's been told to go. But gut feeling is there might be something in this.

Fwiw pre-match he seemed to be on the pitch and just looking around, which looked as if he might be away. I didn't notice how he acted during or post-match though.

He's led relegation favourites Newcastle to two top ten finishes and a European Cup run. Despite having shit players, no money, shit owners, being undermined, JFK, setting up to lose every game, Luuk de Jong, playing every player out of position and refusing to play and selling all the players who are actually of PL quality due to his jealousy of them.

A Maverick genius.

I don't understand why the club got rid of Romain Amalfitano. World class that lad. Pardew jealous of his magnificence.

And Boumsong, when Pardew decided he wasn't good enough for Newcastle and then went on to play for Juventus, the top class defender.
