How fucking daft is it sending negative tweets when you're in such a small bubble? (Assuming they're real of course)

Weez Keys Louize is at it again in the Guardian's pre-season preview, talking about the top 8 for Sunderland. She also calls Sunderland's defence an 'obstruction and destruction' unit, and refers to Jack Colback as 'defecting'.

btw - WKL is a horrendously biased Mackem North-East correspondent for the Guardian. Felt Poyet was MOTY last year and Borini scored the goal of the season. It was a good goal, a bit like Wilshere's against Norwich, but absolutely no where near as good.

Janmaat will definitely be starting. - And looked very good against Sociedad.

De Jong has been given vice captaincy and will definitely start the season. Probably as an AM in a 4-4-1-1, but it's unclear how he and Cabella will both fit in the same team.

I don't know how I can cope with the knowledge Steve Stone's friends and family no longer receive complimentary tickets. I used to be safe in the knowledge that these people who serve absolutely no tangible benefit to Newcastle get tickets for free, which I have to pay for. #PardewOut.

Meanwhile Caulkin of the Times, is complaining about Newcastle restricting access to outlets willing to pay, kind of like a paywall. And Bird (Mirror) is moaning while the fucking Mirror prints news stories like "5 FIFA15 features that are AMAZING".

Who the fuck cares about any of this?

I went to Newcastle 1-0 Real Sociedad

Fairly boring game;

-Newcastle's members kit was very nice, and better than the 2 actual kits that have been released.
-Sissoko took his goal very, very well
-Aarons and Obertan continue to impress
-I really like Jack Colback so far
-Riviere looks like he's going to be suited to English football

The culture at Barcelona makes them look for different qualities in their defenders than most other clubs do, they place a much higher emphasis on ball skills, even if it means signing someone who's weaker at traditional defensive attributes. Same thing with their goalkeepers.

I'm aware of the concept, it's just Vermaelen and Mathieu - screams getting turned over 4-0 in the semi's of the CL though.

They never wanted him, and they are glad to see him go, and they have moved on to better things with Jack Rodwell*. Colback is also only at Newcastle for the money (£50kpw). He's also getting booed in pre-season and they all have a few 'mag mates' who reckon he's shite and only pass the ball sideways.

They are also in meltdown, that the Chronicle said Newcastle turned down Jack Rodwell. Of course Newcastle did, as will have every Premier League club.

Wilshere reminds me of Scott Parker (at Newcastle) but without the defensive ability.

Think the commentator needs to cheer up a bit. I don't understand why the standard commentator needs to just moan for 90 minutes. Criticising others constantly wont improve your performance.

Malaga tore Newcastle apart in the first half, three great goals as well. I think the big reason for it is Cabella and Sissoko probably aren't very fit, and their fullbacks are totally overwhelming Newcastle on the flanks. Getting constant 2 on 1's against Haidara and MYM.

Malaga have also been fantastic at spreading the play, excellent technique.

Glad the pundits have found out Ayoze Perez and Adam Armstrong are a bit 'lightweight' - Fantastic insight lads. They're now blaming the lack of 'desire'.

Yeah, I know vaguely, it's more the surprise of a 25 year old back up player sticking around. I always assumed he would be about 20. Same with Simon Dawkins, when he was 25 or so when he went on loan to Villa.

I think West Ham will be fine - especially if they keep Allardyce, he should have enough to keep them up.

On paper I actually think Villa have a stronger squad than they are given credit for, especially if they can reintegrate N'Zogbia and Bent successfully, and Benteke gets back quite soon.

Guzan/Lowton/Vlaar/Okore/Richardson/Delph/Westwood/N'Zogbia/Agbonlahor/Weimann/Benteke - looks like it should be enough. Their squad is pretty big as well.

On another note Matt Lowton and Chris Herd are 25. Who the fuck is Chris Herd, and how is he older than Delph and Kozak?

He'll probably fit in well at Palace, where he will be allowed to sit deep and defend. Suspect if he moved to most PL clubs he would get exposed badly, due to lack of mobility.
