According to the Italian journalist who broke the Janmaat story - the deal is done in principle and should be completed once he's finished at the World Cup.

According to the Shields Gazette - HBA and Marveaux both made to train with the kids, on account of them not being featured in some pictures. It's a solid theory if you ignore the pictures they are pictured in.

Long balls don't mean bad football.

Fully agree. Total misconception that long balls = defensive = physical = 'graft'

Can't see Joel Campbell or Jenkinson arriving as part of the Debuchy deal. I don't think Newcastle will be interested in loaning young players in who they probably won't be able to buy.

Why are Arsenal fans so confident that Sanchez would choose them over a team of about equal status?

McCormack is unbelievable - £11m for a guy who a 28 year old forward who has scored in the double figures 3 times? (whilst playing in the Championship, League 1 and SPL)

Anyway if McCormack can score 35 goals this season, he will have outscored Fulham's other four £10m+ strikers - Steve Marlet, Kostas Mitrouglou, Andy Johnson and Bryan Ruiz.

Why on earth did NBC decide it was a good idea to show any of 'The Farm'?

And Brian the sound guy is a weird turn.

Hah, I agree a lot of stats are meaningless. But I'm going to continue to use the hell out of the long ball stat (Newcastle 2nd lowest, Everton - Soton near the top). I'm just using it in response to extremely boring 'Pardew hoofball tactics' talk.

I doubt Lacazette will care too much about the Europa League tbh.

Took ages negotiating with Lille. He himself was very eager. And as far as I'm aware Newcastle we're no where close to offering terms to Grenier.

Lacazette missed out on the WC, as Sissoko and Remy were taken instead of him. Cabaye and Debuchy have also continued to be picked for the International team. Besides he may not want to break his neck playing Martinez' hoofball.

What are you basing that on? The vast majority of players sign almost immediately.

Debuchy, Anita, Cabaye, MYM, Marveaux, Sissoko, Gouffran, Cisse, De Jong all signed extremely quick. Cabella is apparently very happy with terms. Pieters was desperate to sign.

Lasogga was about the only time, I've heard a player was upset with contract terms. And obviously with Remy, QPR presumably paid a lot more, but Newcastle were still able to get him on loan.

'Beat' Everton to Demba Ba as well.Link

But the deal was derailed by Ba’s financial demands, including his insistence that a £5million buy-out clause was inserted into his contract.

Reckon that Pogba looked too raw to be playing and Deschamps had a disaster.

France seem FAR too happy to being knocked out in the quarters.

Dropping Mertesacker is an awful decision, not convinced at all by Hummels & Boateng together.

Valbuena is playing well, can't wait to see him in a Sunderland shirt next year.

The other clubs linked with Lacazette are Liverpool and Everton, so maybe not all doom and gloom. Liverpool seem to be linked with other guys more heavily, so I'd presume Sanchez, Rodrigo, Markovic, Lallana etc. are the priorities.

Everton obviously can't offer CL football either. And Newcastle should have a decent chance of beating Everton.

Lasogga to Hamburg completed as well.

Debuchy will probably either step up and defend better at Arsenal. Or will be seen as a joke by January. Could go either way imo.

I doubt Sanchez knows or really cares who Ramsey is tbh, I get the impression footballers don't exactly watch much football outside of their next opponent and tend to go off of hype when talking about others. A Welsh guy who had a good season playing for England's 4th best club is hardly going to be making huge ripples in Spain.

I wouldn't rule out Lasogga until he signs for Hamburg. Something a bit odd about that deal. And according to the Chronicle today, someone told them that Newcastle still have a 30% chance of 'winning' Lasogga.

Diafra Sakho? Newcastle apparently rang up SkySportsNews to deny that one. They've also denied a few more like Bendtner and Sidwell.

EDIT - Maxime Gonalons is'confirmed' to be staying at Lyon next year. Potentially good news in regards to Grenier/Lacazette.

Lacazette and Lasogga are apparently the main targets. Ings is doing the rounds on twitter, but I don't think there is much in that. And Luuk de Jong keeps getting mentions in the Chronicle.

I reckon if LdJ is available at the end of the window for under £3m or on loan, Newcastle will go sign him.

Newcastle are almost certainly not interested in Ross McCormack. He's 27 and hit double figures for goals 3 times in his career, playing in the SPL, League 1 and the Championship. No way Newcastle are going to spend £10m on him. Reckon it's all hype from the Leeds owner, they seem to be in quiet meltdown right now, reckon he'll go to Fulham or Norwich or somewhere for about £4m.

Anyway no fucking around here.

His brother Luuk de Jong came last season even though half a year on loan from Newcaslte for United, but was eventually bought out by the British.

If Sissoko is creating chances from out wide, then he's not being 'lumped out wide' he's thriving out wide. If 'chances created' is the same as 'key passes' then it's a bollocks stat imo.

Sissoko hasn't even been linked with a move.
