Manchester United manager David Moyes has informed both Nani and Anderson that they'll be staying at Old Trafford this season despite speculation linking them with transfers to Real Madrid and PSG respectively.

Manchester United duo Nani and Anderson won't be leaving Old Trafford this season according to manager David Moyes after speculation surfaced linking the pair with moves to Real Madrid and PSG respectively.

Moyes, 50, has been the manager at Old Trafford for 10 days following the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson and it appears some of Europe's biggest clubs are prepared to test the Scot during the transfer window.

However the former Preston North End and Everton manager has adamantly declared today at a press conference that the pair will remain at Old Trafford this season regardless of interest from abroad.

"I'm aware some big clubs have been linked with Nani and Anderson. I've seen the reports on the internet and wasn't that surprised because they're both very good players," said the Manchester United manager.

"I've told both of them that they won't be leaving the club. We don't want to lose good players and we want to keep the current playing group together, I mean they lost the Premier League title by goal difference last season. They have the quality to win trophies so I won't be breaking a group like that up," added Moyes.

The 49 year old signed a six year contract when he joined Manchester United.

Moyes will take charge of his first competitive fixture as Manchester United boss on the opening day of the Premier League season when they face current champions and fierce rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford.

PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti is looking to lure Manchester United and Brazilian midfielder Anderson away from Old Trafford in a deal worth £15 million according to reports in France and Italy.

Real Madrid want Nani and now PSG want Anderson, new Manchester United boss David Moyes seemingly facing a tough battle to keep his squad at Old Trafford together following his recent appointment.

Anderson, 24, who has made eight appearances for Brazil since his debut for the A Seleção against Mexico back in 2007, is reportedly the main transfer target of PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti.

The midfielder joined the Old Trafford club back in 2007 in a deal worth £12 million when he left Portuguese side FC Porto. He has unfortunately struggled in recent times to establish himself in the United midfield and was injured for most of 2010 after he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament.

Anderson has made 83 Premier League appearances for United scoring just four times.

Manchester United manager David Moyes will have a fight on his hands to stop Portuguese winger Nani joining La Liga champions Real Madrid in a £30 million deal this summer according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

Real Madrid manager José Mourinho has reportedly been given permission to make Manchester United winger Nani his latest signing according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

Marca are reporting that the 25 year old winger will cost the La Liga champions £30 million.

Nani, who has made 125 Premier League appearances for United since leaving Sporting Lisbon in 2007 for £17 million, has two years remaining on his contract at Old Trafford and his agent has been in negotiations all summer with the board at Old Trafford in attempts of getting the Portuguese international an improved deal.

Reports throughout England indicate that new United boss David Moyes will be reluctant to let Nani leave.

You'd expect them to do better next season after the experience of two previous campaigns.

Even if they're in a tough group again.

Insurance?

They'll have public liability insurance but they'll still be making well over a million a year.

Depends on what their expenses are.

After tax, staff wages, cost of maintenance and say loan repayments they'd be making over a million easy.

Edit: That's excluding the cross fit they do Monday to Friday and the corporate stuff they do.

Tom Cleverley scored the only goal at Old Trafford yesterday as new Manchester United manager David Moyes tasted success against FC Bayern Munich in his first game in charge since his appointment.

Cleverley, 22, scored the only goal of the pre-season clash against FC Bayern Munich at Old Trafford three minutes before the half time break as he headed home a free kick from Robin Van Persie.

United put in a dominant display against their German opponents in front of 71,989 fans at Old Trafford and the manner of victory would have pleased new manager David Moyes who took charge for the first time since his appointment following the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson.

FC Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes didn't enjoy the pre-season friendly as Croatian international Mario Mandžukić received a straight red card just 11 minutes in after elbowing Michael Carrick in the face.

Cleverley was happy to have found himself on the scoresheet and hoped he could impress his new manager.

"It was a good game yesterday and the players will feel much better after that tough game against FC Bayern Munich. Thankfully we've no injury concerns and we've won the game so everybody is happy," said Cleverley.

"Personally it was fantastic to score against such a big team at home in front of our fans and hopefully I can perform well during the remaining pre-season fixtures. At the moment I just want to continue working hard and hopefully I'll catch the managers eye by doing that everyday in training," added the midfielder.

The 22 year old has three years remaining on his contract at Old Trafford and has made 10 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils, the former academy player breaking into the first team setup last season following a successful loan spell with fellow Premier League side Wigan Athletic during the 2010-2011 season.

He didn't even get touched.

Otherwise, a poor first-half performance. Yaya needs to be more involved.

You could only tell that on the replay though.

Live it looked like a penalty.

It's a one year rolling contract which lasts for 8 years.

Can be sacked for free at the end of any season if we wish.

Fed up of saying that

I've not been able to find that anywhere online.

Got a link?

He did alright at Spurs, but finished 5th with Hamburg and failed to win the league with the biggest club in Holland (outdone by the mighty McClaren). Last season he probably did as you would expect with Fulham, but they are dreadful this year. There are other managers out there with much better track records that I wouldn't go near either so I don't know why he's even mentioned.

Personally I think he overachieved at Spurs and 5th with Hamburg is about right for them. Yes he failed at Ajax but he did a reasonable job at Fulham last season and even this season they're almost on course to finish in the top half again. I mean who would you approach if you were in charge at Everton?

Fulham are shocking, why would anyone want Jol? They could still mathematically be relegated.

Maybe because his track record with teams is quite good.

His time at Tottenham and Hamburg was quite successful and Fulham finished in the top half last season iirc.
