Where do you work at, can I ask? Obviously a call-centre, but what company, what sort of things do you call about, etc?

For a bank man and calls range from internet banking registration/reset, cards lost/stolen, account balances.....

Hopefully it won't be busy today, but from the first 10 minutes of my shift I imagine it will be, I've already taken six calls, I took that amount every hour yesterday....

Not really.

It all really depends. For example me working today and tomorrow is almost an extra $700 which would be a fair chunk towards a plane flight to Ireland or off a mortgage.. It's very good pay for working on a day that's extremely quiet... Like I'll take 35-40 calls today, mostly account balance enquiries that take a minute to do, normal days take 70+ calls with crazy complicated calls in between everything...

I've been working from the 19th and I don't get a day off until the 29th, so ten consecutive days. I think get paid double on Christmas Day and on Boxing Day which sweetens the deal... a little.

Real money meaning??

I'm working 11 days out of 12, from Saturday 22nd to January 3rd...

Supposed to be a big assed thunderstorm tomorrow in Sydney.

Don't worry until it happens. I regularly get storm warning texts to my phone from the council and nothing happens, they really do tend to be cautious about everything and most the time nothing happens.
