Giggs was ace when he came on.

Valencia was once again shite, as was Rooney. I thought Carrick had a brilliant game though.

Honestly feel Carrick is a much better player when he's allowed contribute to more advanced passages of play. Some of his passes today were fantastic, especially that one when he picked RVP out on the left first time.

I suggest you watch it again because Williams has started his motion of kicking the ball clear before the whistle is being blown, it's not intentional and Van Persie reacts by grabbing him and going head to head with him, he's lucky to have only got a card for it.

Ahhh shite, it's always busy in a petrol station so seasonal (apocalyptic) rushes make no difference.

I don't know what it's like back in Ireland and the UK nowadays because it's been about 9 years since I went to a petrol station but out here when they drop the price by about 2 or 3 cent a litre there are queues backing out onto the roads for the stuff. I'd hate to work in a petrol station, especially out here in Australia considering they're almost all 24/7 and get robbed a lot.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that winger Aaron Lennon is in need of a rest and may well miss the clubs Premier League clash with Reading at White Hart Lane tomorrow.

Spurs winger Aaron Lennon could be rested tomorrow when the North London club take on Reading at White Hart Lane after manager Andre Villas-Boas publicly revealed the 25 year old is in need of a rest.

The 25 year old has started all of the clubs Premier League and Europa League games so far this season, a total of seven starts so far and a substitute appearance against Reading in the third round of the Capital One Cup.

Villas-Boas was reluctant to admit the winger, who has scored three goals in his eight appearances this season, needed a rest, the Spurs boss eventually admitting he may leave Lennon out of his squad to face Reading tomorrow at White Hart Lane with Mousa Dembele or Clint Dempsey his likely replacement.

"Aaron has been working very hard and may need a rest tomorrow, the medical team have told me that it might be a good time to rest him and we'll see what happens tomorrow," stated Villas-Boas.

"I don't know if he can play, we'll see about that. You can see he's a very important player and we want him to play, but the season is long and we need him fit for the entire season so if he needs a rest for one game then he'll be given that rest. We have many players who can come in and do a good job," added the Spurs boss.

Spurs are unbeaten in all competitions this season and have won six of their opening eight games in all competitions under new manager Andre Villas-Boas. The North London club can move into third spot and too within a point of Premier League leaders Manchester City tomorrow if they beat Reading at White Hart Lane.

A customer got stuck in the petrol station car wash at work yesterday during a powercut, ha. When I sold him the ticket we were talking about how much crap the apocalypse was.

Settlements for eftpos machines for the bank I work for didn't go through yesterday so the waiting time for a customers call to be answered today was like two hours.... Everybody at work wished the world had ended we were that busy.

For me personally I generally don't like having players with a determination of 10 or lower in my squads and a high determination is one of the things I look for when scouting players.

In general I tend to look for players that have strong mental attributes, particularly in determination, work rate and teamwork as well as good physical attributes. Technical attributes are the last thing I look for in a player.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, most of the players that really catch my attention are defensive midfielders or defenders.

Nothing wrong with building a team around solid defenders and solid midfielders.
