A little flick on the ref's back and he gets sent off for that.

Oh well, game over.

The best and the worst from Di Maria in those few minutes.

Terrible to switch off like that and what a ball that was.

Hopefully we'll keep possession and limit Arsenal's pace on the counter.

That's what I'm worried about really, especially Sanchez getting at Valencia.

Another preseason is done and the Premier League season is about to begin. We play Burnley away in our first game and it's really a must win. Obviously it's important to get off to a good start, but I've also been set a target of 10 points from the opening five matches by the board after our poor 2016-2017 campaign. Basically I've got to win three and draw one game of my opening five to keep my job after a very intimidating board meeting.

There were some noticeable departures during the summer as Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie left Old Trafford, the former heading to Serie A and the latter eventually signing with Newcastle United after we released him. Rafinha, who we signed for just over £4 million rejoined Barcelona for £25 million, which is good business considering he was nothing more than a rotational player in his one season at the club. The arrival of Romelu Lukaku spelled the end for Angelo Henriquez and when Wolfsburg matched our £20 million asking price he was always going to leave.

One name that will jump up and grab your attention I'm sure is that of Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Now at 33, when the Premier League season kicks off, signing the German international may be considered a gamble, but after he scored two goals in our Europa League quarter final last season and created one I'm confident he's still very much at the peak of his powers. He was heading into the last year of his contract at Bayern and wanted a new challenge so I swooped in. Personally I don't think £15 million is that bad a fee to pay for a player of his ability and I'm pretty confident we can get at least a good year or two out of Schweinsteiger at Old Trafford.

We hammered Swansea on the final day, but unfortunately Arsenal managed to come from behind to beat Southampton as former Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck scored twice for them. As expected Manchester City hammered Hull and we'll once again compete in the Europa League instead of the Champions League.

The final day of Premier League season is upon us and qualification for the Champions League will go down to the wire. We need to beat Swansea City at Old Trafford and hope either Arsenal or Manchester City fail to win in their games against Southampton and Cardiff City respectively. Southampton will travel to the Emirates and sit 7th so fingers crossed they can make things difficult for the Gunners and pick up a point, because honestly the chances of relegation threatened Cardiff City getting something against Manuel Pellegrini's men are slim to none.

The importance of securing Champions League football is vital. I failed to match the boards expectation of winning the Premier League and we didn't make it to the FA Cup final. We crashed out of the Europa League as Bayern Munich beat us 4-0 over two legs, the Germans punishing us for not taking our chances at Old Trafford.

St Etienne won 2-0 earlier and Ajax are currently 1-0 up.

Hoping Roma can knick a goal against Chievo.

EDIT: Full time in the Ajax game, 2 from 2 on my accumulator now.

Off to Anfield later, come on Rovers!!!

If we can win away to Arsenal with Michael Appleton in charge and Bradford can come back from 2-0 down at Chelsea to score 4, then anything is possible.

You'll lose 3-0 I reckon

So some more poor results sees us off the pace with just eight games to go. We need to string a few consecutive wins together and hope teams above us drop points as I don't see me keeping my job if I don't qualify for the Champions League for the second consecutive season. It's also imperative because David De Gea and Daley Blind will want to leave should we fail to qualify. This summer will see Robin van Persie leave the club on a free transfer and he'll be replaced by Romelu Lukaku after the I approached the board asking for them to sign him. The powerful Belgian striker, who has scored 19 times this season in 28 appearances, will join us in a deal worth £34 million.

In the Europa League we've been handed a tough quarter final against Bayern Munich. The first leg is at home and I feel it's really important we take a lead to the Allianz Arena. In truth we probably need to keep a clean sheet and score twice at home to really have a good chance of progressing to the last four of the competition. Should we overcome the German side we'll face either Napoli or Ajax for a place in the final at Ernst-Happel Stadion in Vienna.

Paul Scholes basically invented having opinions though. His opinions were just vastly underrated by the typical uneducated English media.

He plays the opinion the way it should be opinioned and at his peak he was the best opinioner in the world - Xavi

And that infamous story of Scholes hitting a tree with an opinion from a full 40 yards.

Good effort sir! Well done! Enjoy the dollar!

Withdrew €150 which is about $200 so I'll have some money.

Have put €20 on St Etienne, Ajax, Roma, Liverpool, Benfica and Leverkusen which returns €220.

Again hopefully I can cash that out at some stage for a nice profit.
