You're literally quoting what needs to be done. Download Winrar and use it to extract the files

Every time I try to extract the cut out faces it says the file has been damaged.

You need to download Winrar and extract all those compressed .rar files.

How do i extract the .rar files

Do you have to save the files onto your desktop, or just open them as when I open them and follow the rest of the steps nothing happens and it stays default. I have created a graphics folder and have extracted the files and updated in-game preferences but nothing happens.
