That must've been a cup final for the ages! I went behind 3 times!! My decision to sell Giroud fully vilified here by a cracking performance for Wellbeck who is unstoppable upfront on his own. And Masch is proving to be good money well spent.

I really couldn't offer him first team football when I only played one up front.

First north London derby, and after a damp squib of a first half, the guns were out in the second. Lois Van Gaal is the manager at Spurs nowadays, and he couldn't stop my rampant Arsenal side. I really want to push for the title and this will hopefully give the gents in the team a lift.


In other news, Jorge Jesus, the current man utd manager, is under the cosh and I'm favourite to take the job. Have to resist every temptation to jump ship...

Urgh, that was desperately disappointing. Lost in in the last 10 minutes, especially being 2-0 up. Title aspirations dealt a blow after stringing some good results together.

Yeah I've obviously had it really easy. I think it goes to show the great competition in the BPL compared to the other leagues. Godin is a cracking signing, and especially for that cheap. Thanks mate.

An update....and I'm really struggling. Played 5 lost 3 including to Charlton. Not as easy as I thought it would be. Going to be a long season.

A great game. FM14 I played 8 or so seasons as man ute and set the rules that I couldn't buy any players, but had to use the youth system. It's so gratifying bringing the youngsters through and really helps you appreciate another side to the game. Also, some surprising results on how good the reserves can actually be. Michael Keane turned into a great CB when given the chance.

Yeah as a Man Utd fan, I'm not overly comfortable with managing Arsenal, but sweet Jesus, they do have some cracking players.

I always play with an anchor in my tactic, and Arsenal do not have one at all. The nearest thing I have is Ramsey. So Lucas Silva is a great up and coming young player. May look for a backup to him too.


Same issues I had with Juve, LB's are just so hard to come by. I appreciate Siqueria is a little old for a fullback but I think he can do the job for a couple of seasons.


OK, I know Lavezzi is a little on the old side, but he's still a class act and I'm hoping he has the same impact as Hulk did at Juve.

SEASON 3 - 2016/17



A homecoming of sorts, not with my team but with Arsenal. After the retirement of Arsene Wenger, Arsenal needed a new manager to keep them at the top of the pile. Who better then the Italian and Spanish championship winning Englishman?




I'll need a bit of time to really evaluate this squad, but on face value, I may try and get hold of a new striker and a strong CB. Stay tuned...

The way I lost was the hardest, with two late goals. It was relatively close, it's just Tevez can't ever find form and Llorente wasn't good enough back up

Season 2 Squad Summary




Going through the season, I pretty much stuck to the same 11, only switching to give the players a rest. This really helped the team gel and play well together and buy into my tactic straight away.

-NEW SIGNINGS: Memphis Depay and Hulk were truly outstanding and were worth every penney. Considering I use my wings for most of the attack, I needed players I could rely on, they didn't disappoint. Depay was my player of the season, laying on assist and scoring goals a plenty. Clichy was as reliable and solid as I knew he would be, pushing Evra completely out of the fold. Vermaelen was OK the second half of the season, if not spectacular.

-DISSAPOINTMENTS: I leave this section for my strikers really. Tevez and Llorente (especially Tevez) would go 5 or 6 games without a goal and then hit a brace, only to disappear again for a couple of weeks. I've pre-signed Javier Hernandez so hopefully Juve won't have the same issues again next season. Buffon was his usual great self but would sometimes inexplicably wobble and cause me to lose the odd game. Age?

-OUTLOOK: With my year with Juve, I've noticed they hold onto a lot of aging players, I've tried to buy a couple of youngsters for the future a-la Depay but they will need to spend a lot going forward otherwise they'll be caught out.

I'm terribly sorry haha. TBH, I hate Arsenal, but I have to go for the jobs as they become available. I may just quit Juve and see who takes the job and look to jump into their old job. I want Pep's job at Bayern, his contract expires in the summer too.

And so it begins...

Agh, gutted. Was a very tight game, loads of shots a both goals. Undone by goals in the dying minutes of full time and extra time. Strikers have been the difference for me this season, and with Llorente and Tevez just not hitting the goals enough, they've cost champions league final. Bugger.



No awards for any of the Juve players but a few in the team of the year.

Season 2 and Serie A now over, just the Champions League final to come.



A 15 point swing in my favour with only a couple of losses. Juve were always favourites to win it but I'm happy to have won it as emphatically as I have.



Just a quick look at the stats will tell you how good we was this year. Top 5 average ratings and they all played most of this seasons games. My new winger signings providing most of the assists. And Pogba, what a beast. 21 goals from the centre of the park. Cracking.

Season 2 summary to follow.

I'm speechless. The last league game against Genoa I played a full youth team to keep the first team fresh for the second leg. Fired a rocket up their arse before the game against Madrid started and they turned in the best performance I've had. Kroos helped by getting sent off and he really is the lynchpin for Real, especially as they've ditched wingers for 3 CM's. Pogba once again proved the new contract was a good choice and Depay put in a great game. I'm truly chuffed.

Champions League Semi First Leg...



Oh...we've got it all to do in the second leg. TBH, I don't think we'll turn this around. Let's see.

Italian mission complete. 5 games to spare so steam rolled the league. Updates to come.

Yeah, I've got no interest in ruining teams before I leave. I try and always pre-sign some players in the winter on contracts ready for once I've left. Juve have got Chichorito coming in the summer on a free.

After a bit of a word in his ear, Pogba sacked his agent and has signed and extortionate contract. Still, I need him for the spring run in.
