Was tempted to stick 5 quid on Everton, Lazio, Juve and draw in Arsenal vs Chelsea, but after the recent bets went against it. And ofcourse it looks like coming in

Price caps have actually killed UT a bit, I can't even find some players on the market and all the shit ones are now actually going for more. Courtouis is like 30k ish on playstation market but you can't buy him as there's none on the market and if one does appear he's gone in like 10 seconds

He's surely going to realise eventually that he's wasting his career. You can see he has some ability, and even if he doesn't truly reach his potential I can see him becoming a decent striker. A lot of if's in that though.

He's the best of the bunch but he's still thoroughly average.

You can sort of understand them all (apart from Borini who he'd worked with and should have known wasn't up to snuff).

Lambert as a back up striker for cheap wasn't a terrible idea and Balotelli was a massive gamble based on the fact you're not enough of a draw to attract anyone truly world class and Rodgers' ego.

None would have looked so bad if Sturridge wasn't injured all season though.

None of them have had a fair run in the team though to show anything. They wouldn't have been a bad choice to stick in for a few games when Sturridge was out and sure would have grabbed a couple goals. Also Ballotelli comment is a bit over the top, I also still think he can be a decent player (most likely not at this club, but he's still young enough to do something).

Can see Rodgers going next season if we're still shit, last season is saving him

Yeah then why buy them in the first place. Plus they're not exactly bad back up/second striker options (probably not for top 4 team, but with Sturridge out for so long we could have done with someone getting a run in the side).

On a side note, Rodgers is starting to piss me off. He comes out with some bullshit and some of his choices are baffling. Why buy Lambert/Borini/Balotelli and hardly ever play them. Borini is half decent as well

Yeah I'd agree they're not much worse than Barca or Real. Surely everyone remembers that El Classico a few years ago.

Most big clubs do it in big games tbf, when it's a close game or you're not comfortable you'll pull little tricks to get an advantage. Don't think I could name one club that doesn't. Although yeah they do it to different degrees and Atletico can be quite bad
