Never in a million years.

Think it'll be more of a ruse to force WBA to sell us Berahino this month.

Oh he was definitely a cunt - theres a story about when he was drunk driving wrapping his car around a lamppost on the Redheugh bridge - two fans hopped out and told him to fuck off and they'd take the wrap for him.

When fit and on form (hasn't been for a while) and not suspended or away on international duty or whatever.

Played 17 times since the start of 14/15 and is getting on.

Good servant to the club but 8m isn't a fee to baulk at, would have liked to see him stay until the end of the season though in case the Saivet/Shelvey experiment doesn't work.

Berahino cut from 20/1 a few days ago to 1/2 to sign for us.

Attitude problem but clearly a good player, young and English.

Thauvin going back to France too, unsure why we keep buying attacking midfielders from France and playing them on the wing, whinging that they're shit after 5 games then dropping them and wondering why they aren't getting any better.

Either buy a winger, play these players in their proper position or buy someone who's proven in the Premier League. It's not hard. We've wasted 30m on Cabella and Thauvin and we'll get back about 15m at the most.

Townsend and Berahino plus a left back and we've had a successful transfer window again - don't think we'll get a left back though

Aye he's not very good whatsoever.

Gets in the team because he's english and from round here I think.

I'd have liked to keep Tiote and see him alongside Shelvey in the middle, but never mind. 8m is a good price for a 30 year old who's been shit for about 3 years.

Hopefully we press on and get a left back and a forward.

I think Shelvey is a talented footballer but I don't see how he'll fit in. Surely he's just a bald, better version of Colback?

Think he'll offer more going forward than Colback - who just sits and passes sideways or backwards and bottling tackles all the time.

Things are worse than I thought tbf, I watched you against Sheffield too and it was dire.

Aye Fellaini should have walked, never a pen in years and we should have had another one but never mind.

Draw was a fair result, Man Utd are terrible, we weren't even that good and we matched them.

We aren't adequate in the centre of the park really, Colback and Anita are both good in a midfield 3 but we're intent on playing 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 and both are too similar.

Tiote offers more but he's looked disinterested since around 2012/13 so isn't a long term viable option.

Happy with the Shelvey deal. Hope we press on and sign a striker and a left back though, they're two important positions where we're lacking.

We've raised our game like that against Liverpool, Chelsea and Man Utd already this season, I'm not holding much hope.

Perez looks better in LAM than he does in CAM though, and Wijnaldum looks way better in his natural position too.

Thought Tiote and Janmaat were our best performers though.

I can't remember Thauvin being introduced?

In his last 7 sub appearances he's had less than 20 minutes to make an impact, most often being under 5 minutes too.

Wijnaldum isn't a CM in a 4-4-2 either is he? He's a CAM or at most a CM in a 4-3-3.

Just watched Jonny Evans tackle again on Mitrovic, no idea how that wasn't given.

I mean I know we don't get penalties anymore but that was just outrageous.

No I have noticed Wijnaldum moving inside - which I love if we had a left back capable of exploiting the space that he leaves on the left wing.

Pardew is a better manager than McClaren btw I agree with you there, but he needed to leave when he did - just the replacement had to be better.

Also if we're doing calendar years out of the past 76 games (one full year for Pardew too) we've only won 19 times.

Pardew leaving is a nonissue. We didn't sack him - he left for a more ambitious club who sign players based on what they need and not just for sell on value. He left us. We didn't sell him. we had the chance to replace him with a good manager and we didn't.

He done well when we finished 5th but was determined to shoehorn our players into 442 or 4231 when 433 was working so well. he wasn't helped by the board only signing Anita after we finished 5th but to go from 5th to 16th is unacceptable.

I dunno why you keep referring to calendar years either - seasons aren't played over calendar years. Pardew underachieved in 2 full seasons of his 3 full seasons at Newcastle. Simple as that.

You're keep pointing out how Wijnaldum is bad which is fair enough - he's playing out of position so is always going to struggle at first/not produce consistently yet keep referring to Sammy Ameobi as better who is a bad player yet playing in his natural position?

Ashley needs to invest more in January, Charnley needs to get signings made quickly rather than drag them out until the last week of January and Carr/his scouting team need to identify players who are good enough for Newcastle. It sounds simple because it is. We could do with sacking McClaren due to his terrible performance but I really doubt that will occur. He will relegate us imo unless something huge occurs in January. That will make it 2 relegations and 2 relegation battles under Ashley - surely he can see his business model isn't working?

Aye 2014 wasn't much better under Pardew. We had Remy too for half of it who is streets ahead of any of our strikers now. Better replacement needed.

And I know you're being sarcastic but I'm sure Wijnaldum has more goals and assists in 15 games than Ameobi does in his entire career.

You can tell Wijnaldum has quality we just need a good manager to get it out of him on a regular basis.

Charnley is massively out his depth, as is McClaren.

Ashley for once is blameless - however Charnley is his appointment so I dunno - is he going to get rid of a guy he trusts regardless of how bad he is?

Is there a consistency issue with Wijnaldum? If he scores 4 like he did against Norwich every week he's literally the best player ever - he's been more than good enough for us this season.
