You just know it will be offset by selling key players though - which will in turn leave us short AGAIN.

It's not good enough.

Show ambition and show willing to push for Europe and the admittedly very stroppy Sissoko will probably try a bit harder with better players around him, and in turn it'll make people like Cabella who haven't really hit the ground running play a bit better too.

We have the resources and money to do it, why not?

I'm against them - but it's naive to expect a business to not use something that is totally legal. And I'm strongly against the hypocrisy - 99% of people outraged over this wouldn't boycott a product they liked/needed over the use of zero hour contracts.

fwiw - P&G sack people for not being available for overtime.

Oh I agree, I disagree with them but I don't think companies shouldn't use them while they're legal - that's for the government to sort out.

I don't boycott Sports Direct because of the zero hour contracts - it's just a shithole that only really caters to sportspeople (who would have their stuff paid for usually anyway) or chavs.

Can't believe they use Sports Direct use zero hour contracts like - shocking development. Can't believe no one has mentioned it. David Conn going after a shop he would never shop in anyway. Middle class prick, how about you boycott all your P&G products?

Shouldn't the correct response to zero hour contracts continually being brought up be a good thing until they disappear? Before you mention it - I know places like McDonalds, Wetherspoons and Tesco use them too - it doesn't make them right.

Incredibly exploitive - especially if the sacking for sick notes going in is true.

Imagine pretending to care about any of them incidents. JFK fighting Phil Brown is still the best - during a 3rd round replay exit to Hull reserves (Newcastle were at full strength) Those where the glory days of course.

Not like the banter when Shearer hospitalised Keith Gillespie. On the way Newcastle drifting from Title contenders to mediocrity with a woefully past it John Barnes the top goalscorer with 6 goals. Those where of course the glory days.

I'm sure people refer to Keegan and Robson's top 4 finishes as the recent glory days and look back in horror at the reigns of Dalglish (mostly, start was alright), Gullit, Kinnear and Souness as ones that have destroyed this club.

We done well to bounce back into 5th under Pardew but completely ruined any momentum we might have had by refusing to strengthen the squad for whatever reason, mainly financial I guess. We could have gambled on further success but instead finished 16th with some of the best players this club will have until Ashley leaves.

I know the standards normally bad, but is it just me or has officiating got worse this season?

Even in fairly innocuous performances I can remember referees being wildly inconsistent and making basic errors, I'm struggling to think of a refereeing performance that was decent, let alone good regardless of the team.

The best we seem to be able to hope for is the referee to be so completely scattergun that his decisions even themselves out.

I think the standard of refereeing is horrendous in the Premier League, so many ridiculous decisions.

Wrong player getting sent off and stuff.

Thought that too. How he could praise their effort and come out with embarrassing things such as 'they kept going until the end' when they were all just halfheartedly wandering around for Swansea's third goal is anyone's guess...It even wound me up hearing that haha.

The only one that was a pen was the one with Ospina. No idea how you have come to the conclusion they were stonewall when Bellerin barely even touches Oscar and Fabregas was already diving before the contact from Cazorla...

Bellerin clips Oscar, I'd say thats a pen.

The one on Fabregas, maybe not - definitely not a yellow for diving though.

Arsenal also should have had a penalty - fucking awful refereeing ruining a great game.

I meant Liverpool Football Club in terms of decline. Rob and the rest of the staff wouldn't make a good backroom staff/directors - the youth recruitment is non excistent and the youth academy is well poor. Haha.

I'd say fair enough about the rest of us but Rob does a hell of a lot for this site - just a lot goes unnoticed.
