Any Newcastle fan making the trip to watch our dross tonight deserves a medal.

£52 for a restricted view ticket to watch us get battered about 124-0 while Carver runs around on the touchline like a blithering idiot claiming he's spoke to Bobby.

Fuck me

City need to move on their average players, it's baffling how much money they can spend and how many players would you say are genuinely world class?

Aguero, Silva, Hart, Zabaleta?

Then there's Toure and Kompany who look like they've just downed tools for whatever reason.

People like Clichy, Navas, Mangala, Fernando are just not good enough. Unsure on Fernandinho as a top level midfielder, either. Milner is good but how many other top sides would he get in?

Don't understand Betfair's cash out option. Have a few different bets on, all the riders that I've bet on their odds have dropped since I placed my bets yet my cash out is for a loss.. Surely if the odds become lower the cash out should be higher.. ?

You'd think so, but most bookmakers cash out functions are basically a way of making the bookie more money - if you're going to use it I'd suggest looking into the exchange and learning how to effectively lay bets, rather than using the cash out function. You'll get more value.

I think we'll be okay - we shouldn't be in this situation though.

Wonder when Ashley/Charnley will realise dicing this close to relegation every year will eventually put us in trouble.

And yeah, I haven't heard great things about Lascelles/Darlow.

On this season form though, I'd start Lascelles as soon as he comes here though and see what happens.

Smalling and Jones is a terrible back 2 for a club the size of Man Utd.

They were given extra game time and it worked - they've been two of our best players of the past 10 years.

What I'm asking is why Mbiwa wasn't given the same time, especially when our centre back situation is beyond awful. Williamson and Taylor are not good enough.

And all his games have came at CB, according to whoscored.

There's statistics there as to why he's a good defender too.

If you want to blame PASSION and FIGHT then that's fair enough.

oh, he still is.

played 21 times in 29 games of a 2nd place Italian team isn't bad either.

He was a 22 year old captain of Montpellier who won the league and was playing Champions League football.

He's streets ahead of Williamson and Taylor, too.

He did look shaky I admit - but it didn't help that he was constantly being played left back and right back whilst trying to settle in.

He hasn't flopped at Roma, either.

He flopped here due to poor management - why wasn't he given the time Coloccini/Enrique had? They were given a full season of playing week in week out to settle in and they turned into great players despite being everything you said above there about Mbiwa. Were plenty reports round before January that he was one of their stars - and the admittedly only time I've watched him was the 1-1 with City and he was absolutely remarkable. Roma in general have been in poor form though - not sure how much Mbiwa has to do with it.

He's better than every centre back at our club bar maybe Coloccini - and should have been given time to prove it.

Not so long ago he had the highest interceptions and passing success rates for a centre back in Europe, btw.

Should have kept hold of Mbiwa. Superb defender

Don't think he was able to partner Coloccini well enough due to being too similar.

Pardew didn't rate him either as he got bullied by Lukaku once - was never trusted after that.

Only buying Vernon Anita in the summer after we finished 5th was crazy.

Should have brought Sissoko, Gouffran, Mbiwa and Debuchy in in the summer instead of waiting until January (which was going to be July but relegation looked a serious possibility)

Could have had a team of:

Krul

Debuchy Mbiwa Coloccini Santon

Tiote

Cabaye Sissoko

Ben Arfa Cisse Ba

Could have done something that team.

Start of Aintree Festival today and the Masters. Great day of betting.

Took Hargam, Arctic Fire, Holywell and Big Fella Thanks in my Lucky 15. 400 and odd quid back if they all win which will be nice but unlikely.

Took Jason Day, Zach Johnson, Dustin Johnson, Ricky Fowler and Adam Scott in the Masters.

Daft pound each way on Fred Couples to be first round leader too, with 50p each way on Tiger Woods at silly odds of 66/1

Aye I thought he was probably second best on the pitch after Janmaat.

He was still terrible though.

3 of them are completely clueless.

Krul
R.Taylor, Janmaat, Williamson, Colback
Jonas, Sissoko, Gouffran
Ameobi, Cabella, Perez

We'll get absolutely hammered if the above rumoured team is true.

4-0-6 is how that formation will play out.

Fair - I stopped reading after he said it wasn't Courtois' fault as he's either pissed or retarded.

I loved the venue. Thought it made Mania feel completely different from Raw - where as most PPV's don't.

And it made the entrances feel unique imo. I thought every match on the card was good, even if I disliked Bryan/Cena/Show/HHH winning.

Suppose the venue doesn't bother me - just Undertaker and Bray could have been so much more creepier in the dark.

Thought HHH winning before the show would have been awful but it kind of worked.
