Especially Sting vs Triple H.
Venue and entrances sucked though - too light to create a dramatic entrance for Triple H - and Sting/Undertaker should always be coming in in the dark imo
Reigns vs Lesnar was superb. Proper big fight feel.

I'm guessing the ladder match will take up around 30 minutes.

It's regularly square pegs and round holes at Newcastle.
Carver isn't the man to steer us forward, either.
Charnley is just a yes-man to Ashley.

Carrick is good, and doesn't really need pace for the role he plays.
I think Owen just grabbed the ball and went with it after his goal against Argentina - never really looked back.
Don't forget you had Phillips too and Chris Sutton. Loads of strikers struggled to get going for England.

He's apparently injured atm.
Think he was brought in on Coloccini's recommendation and he just wasn't good enough, basically.

Very good?
I was thinking he'd found his level - been comfortably awful imo.

Clubs need to sanction expensive signings now and then - teams need to been freshened up and improved upon every year or they go stale as teams work out how to play against them - that's just logic.
We've got the same central defenders in our team that got us promoted from the Championship - that's just not good enough - especially when two of them aren't anything special.
We've spent 80m yeah, but the majority of that is replacing players that we should have kept.
The season we finished 5th - we should have improved the team to make sure it wasn't a fluke - buying 1 poor central midfielder was an absolute disaster and contributed to our poor season when we were in Europe.
The season we spent big in January should have been followed up with a summer of activity too - to get us back in the top 7, but we only succeeded in making 1 loan signing then absolutely nothing in January - except selling Cabaye.

We had Andy Carroll and didn't replace him for 6 months either.
We don't replace players straight away, unless we were going to go down.
I don't know why you continually defend Mike Ashley's transfer policy when it's clear it's contributing to our problems - they've admitted this themselves, for a start.
Tottenham Everton Southampton Swansea didn't go 18 months without making a permanent signing either.

We should be run in a more ambitious way than Swansea, they're nowhere near as a big a club as Newcastle.
Buying/selling players isn't the problem - it's the timing of it. Letting Cabaye/Carroll go on the last day of a transfer window is just ridiculous. Not replacing them for another 6 months is even worse.

Yeah, you posted your team before and you'd only played about 50 games or something.
Nowhere near enough to get a team anything like what you had.
And aye, the reduced number of players will be a good thing.

Adam is finding it tough to make the step up in Matt Fondy’s absence so his return to the starting XI next week is long overdue. He’s played 7 games now with 0 goals, however he’s turned in some decent performances - we’re looking for more in terms of goal return though. We’re doing decent, sitting in 5th place - firmly in the playoff hunt. My record currently standing at 3-2-1. Our loss was poor too, as we’ve played some tough teams - title hunting Wilmington Hammerheads and Rochester Rhinos - we drew against both 0-0. We did however lose to 11th placed Charleston Battery - we couldn’t get our usual attacking fluidity going and lost to a poorly defended ball over the top - leaving a one on one opportunity.
I am considering using a sweeper keeper rather than the usual goalkeeper to stop direct passes hurting us so much, I’ll trial it in the next few games. We have 2 weeks until our next match - so a perfect time to stick our goalkeeper Jon Dawson on a new training regime focussed on becoming a sweeper keeper.

Thought it would be a great time for an update as we have just came back from our biggest win of the season - making the trip up to Canada and soundly beating FC Montreal by 4 goals to nil. The team are truly getting to grips with how I want them to play and we’re really doing damage in the final third. David Leichty has really excelled in his ‘Central Winger’ role - with 7 assists and 2 goals in the 9 games he’s played. Whilst the form in the team is generally good - both Adam Hirst and Matt Fondy are struggling for goals - neither have scored yet this season and it is not looking good. I am determined to keep the faith with Hirst as he has served me well in the past but if he hasn’t got at least 3 goals by his 15th appearance I think I am going to put him back on the bench. I am going to offer Jabari Willis from River City Rovers a contract to come over here with the guys I took in pre-season. He’s been in fine form since the start of the season with 11 goals in his first 10 games for River City, hopefully he can bring that form over to Louisville and make the step up. He’ll go straight into the starting lineup for our next game. Our next game?
Harrisburg City Islanders.

He's got the majority of fans on board for a feud that they otherwise wouldn't have been due to Lesnar/Reigns being awful on the mic.
He was superb alongside CM Punk too - even though Punk didn't necessarily need him. He was great last year in the run up to the streak and the aftermath too.
The only place he's failed is with Cesaro and Axel really.

Monday 16th March 2015 - Louisville City FC vs Pittsburgh Riverhounds
My debut game at the Louisville Slugger Stadium was the visit of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds - last season they finished in mid-table - so if we are to sneak into the playoff positions then these are the games that we should be looking to record victories in. I placed my faith once again in the 4-5-1 with Matt Fondy in the striking role despite his alarming inability to put the ball in the back of the net.
The game was a thriller - we won 3-2. Morten Rasmussen ran the show in the centre of midfield with 2 goals and an assist. He got us off the mark early on, converting a penalty that Matt Fondy won after getting in behind the Pittsburgh defence. We were quickly suckered punched though, an immediate Pittsburgh equaliser knocking the wind out of our sails. The rest of the half was played very nervously, with neither side able to dominate possession and create something meaningful.
The second half was different though - with both sides springing to life - Rasmussen swinging a superb corner in which Michael Nwiloh met with a crashing header to restore our goal advantage. The sparkling Dane then added his second of the game with a long range effort into the bottom corner which seen us 3-1 up on 60 minutes. I brought on young Korean playmaker Kim Seung Ju in attempt to calm the pace down as he is very adept in possession - choosing short simple passes over the more direct passing style of Morten Rasmussen. Matt Fondy then went down injured which meant Adam Hirst made his debut from the bench, Fondy is likely to be out for 3 weeks so hopefully Hirst can step up to the plate and score some goals during his enforced promotion to the starting XI. The game was played in front of over 2,500 fans - so a huge step up from the measly 60odd that used to turn up to watch River City Rovers. There is potential at this club with their large stadium and great youth prospects - unfortunately due to the MLS being extremely difficult to get into - the USL is likely to be our level for the considerable future. We have the long trip up to Canada next week - as we play the reserve team of MLS side Toronto. They struggled last year and haven’t won in their first 2 games this time - so hopefully we’ll making the long journey home with 3 points.

Another qualification aced. I’m now a fully qualified national coach - having achieved my National A License. Continuing with the theme of continual progression - I immediately phoned the chairman, Nick Lopez to tell him the good news - and ask if he’d cover the $1,260 fee for my first foray into Continental coaching badges, the Continental C License. He very generously accepted - adding it is only a benefit to Louisville City FC to have the highest qualified coaches working for them. Hopefully this means he’ll continue to fund my development to the highest I can possibly go.
Then I can go to the MLS. Fantastic loyalty.
I’m also starting to think our 0-0 with Wilmington Hammerheads on the first day may be the best result of the season, as they’ve won their next 3 games - scoring 14 and conceding absolutely nothing.

Would you?
I imagine you'd get around the same.
Nonetheless - I think spitting should carry a longer sentence than a deliberate stamp as long as it doesn't cause injury.
Again though - I'm unsure why the player that admitted he'd done wrong got the same amount of ban as the player who tried to lie his way out of it? Some players have no shame. Evans and Skrtel have came out of a bad situation looking awfully, whilst Cisse and Gerrard managed to recover a bit of respect.
