Love hearing Pardew whinge about defensive injuries when he sent probably our 2nd best centre back out on loan to Roma because he didn't win a few headers against Lukaku.

Nice of him to realise Cabella is our most creative player too, better late than never I suppose.

Burnley must be awful though, the team we fielded last night was extremely average.

Unsure why Cabella was dropped for Gouffran - shadow of a player he was when he joined us. Ameobi offers very little going forward too. Tiote was very poor today too.

Set up way too defensively from the start for no apparent reason but positive substitutions changed very little.

Poor game, draw probably was a fair result.

Anything more than a treble and you're massively up against it, especially on football.

Not really, keep it simple 4/5 folds and you can make money most weeks.

People that put 7/8/9plus on are just silly though.

But these players aren't good enough, the players selected there with the exception of Austin over Lambert are the best players available for England?

England don't play with defensive midfielders ever - it's part of the reason we're so poor. People like Cork will never get a start over Henderson and Wilshere regardless of what they offer.

Barry and Carrick are non entities in that squad for me - both too old and shouldn't really be playing for England. I'd rather have Barry though, you're right - we don't play with a 4-3-3 and a defensive midfielder though, so that's pointless including him as he's nowhere near mobile enough to play in a 4-4-2.

Nathan Dyer is the only player I'd argue that is in good enough form to warrant selection and even then - is he even any good?

Charlie Austin maybe too.

England aren't a team that can afford to pick players on form anymore - you have to pick the best possible players regardless if they're performing for their clubs or not.

It's a ridiculous thing to say - you can't blame Rodgers for relying on Suarez last season then slating him this season when it was probably out of his hands the decision to sell him.

He's clearly a decent manager - maybe not good enough to take Liverpool to the league title but that's hardly a blot on anybodies copy book. They've been bang average for years and he gave them their best season since Rafa.
