Martinez plays great football far superior to Pardews 4-4-2/4-2-3-1. The only time we played good football in the entire time Pardew has been here was for about 5-6 games when he decided to give 4-3-3 a go with our best players on the pitch.

Then he changed that to a 4-4-2.

I'm sure you have some sort of statistic that says otherwise though, however as I tell you pretty much every day football isn't played on paper.

We're just off the back of some of the worst form in the country, whereas Everton still challenging in the top 7.

Gomis last summer was upset with the terms we offered, as was Grenier.

Debuchy didn't sign extremely quick, took us about a year too long.

Everton are just a much more attractive proposition for a player, play good football under a manager who will most likely help them progress or be stifled and played out of position by Pardew?

Everton will offer more money than Newcastle to good players

Our go to move is offering way below market value and pissing players off.

Thought the accepted bid for Lacazette was too good to be true.

Turns out he wants CL football so won't be joining.

Were gonna end up with Cisse, Perez and Armstrong as our senior strikers aren't we

Why would we buy British?

Snodgrass cost 6.5m. Yohan Cabaye and Ben Arfa put together cost 6.5m.

He's not the best defensively but he's far from poor as Shola says.

He'd definitely do well at Arsenal and he's excellent going forward. He's not allowed to do that here due to Pardew

He'll be a good signing I think, unsure whether he's worth £12m though.

I'd say Arsenal are a more attractive proposition than Liverpool - especially if Suarez leaves.

Newcastle finished above Liverpool a few years ago ffs

Fellaini as a centre mid is good, as a number 10 unless you're lumping balls to his head constantly is hopeless.

Luuk De Jong apparently off to PSV which is good news for us - would be severely dissapointed if we signed him after the garbage he served up last year.

I'd love Lacazette.

Debuchy will be a great signing.

As I said in the Newcastle thread he's excellent going forward and you have a competent manager who can accomodate attacking full backs without leaving too much space in behind, something Pardew clearly struggles with.

He's not world class defensively but runs all day and will get forward very well. Able replacement for Sagna imo.

Okay, Debuchy isn't world class. But he's very very good.

He should do well at Arsenal because they have a competent manager who can accommodate attacking full backs without leaving space for the opposing team to counter attack. We don't.

If Debuchy and M'Biwa both leave that leaves us needing:

1 x CB
1 x RB
1 x RM
1 x CM
2 x ST

Can't see that happening.

Shola is wrong about Debuchy - he's excellent going forward and very sound defensively - just watch him for France.

I can see him leaving for a top team soon, too - we'll sell if a bid of 10m or upwards comes in imo. He's unsettled after the sale of his best mate and doesn't like being told to play in a negative manner by Pardew. No wonder we can't attack properly if he won't let our full backs overlap in a 4-4-2 Especially when we have two very good attacking full backs in Santon and Debuchy.

I can also see us starting the season with Cisse, Perez and Armstrong as our strikeforce such is the ineptitude of our board.

He broke his foot iirc?

Always felt he could have been alright if Fulham gave him a bit time and played to his strengths. Too similar to Berbatov though.

Maybe it will make Liverpool think about who they are employing?

If I get arrested while on holiday, I don't get to fly back to England to go to work.
