Thanks! I'm gonna try to it's been tough recently, my guys are starting to get tired haha. I definitely plan to stay here for a long time. I want to turn Newcastle into a powerhouse!

We're really playing well so far half way through.
January finally came around and I am more than happy with the progress the club has made. The media predicted us to finish in 9th and so far we are overachieving.
You can see we've been playing very well apart from that one rough patch in November/early December. We also played well in the Europa league group stages. We won our group with 11 points, only losing once to Leverkusen. Now we face AS Saint- Etienne in the first round. I'm not putting to much emphasis on this competition because I really have my head set on finishing high in the Leauge.

Thanks! We've been playing very well so far into November. Here is the most exciting/awesome result thus far:
Currently in 7th spot after 9 games. Our defense has been very impressive only allowing 9 goals and scoring 20! And finally after selling one of my midfielders for £9 million I had enough to go out and buy a promising youngster who my scouts spotted in Brazil.
I'll have to wait 2 years before he joins but by then I'm pretty sure he will be able to walk into the starting squad.

Promising midfielder my scouts spotted. Unfortunately I wasn't able to secure a work permit for him so he will have to spend a few seasons on loan or I will have to eventually just sell him for profit.
I finally was able to sign this lad. I've been on his tail since the first few weeks in my tenure as Newcastle manager. He cost us 10.5 million but if he pans out to be the player I think he will, then it's worth every penny.
I was lacking in central midfield talent so when I saw Joe Allen was available on a free I decided to offer him a contract. At 34 he's still a decent player.
Probably the best player I signed this summer. He has scary speed and great technical ability. He will no doubt pose a threat against all Premier league teams.
And then there was this guy. I needed another goalkeeper and found this guy available for free and only after my scouts viewed him as the best keeper at the club, if he joined, I signed him.
And then the break went pretty well. Only conceding 4 goals in 7 matches is good even though we were against some weaker opponents. Being that we are not as good as the top clubs in England I decided to adapt a counter attacking philosophy. It's got the chairman pretty annoyed since he wants attacking football but I don't think the match engine would allow me to play attacking football with this squad and be successful.
Anyway, here's to a good season!

Soon after that a huge amount of manager were sacked and I was approached by the Valencia chairman.
Honestly there was never a chance of me leaving everything I've done with Newcastle so far. I'm fully dedicating myself to the club and wont be leaving for a long time.

As you can see we managed to make it all the way to the final only to lose to Man Utd in extra time. We got slightly lucky with an easy draw early on but everyone wrote us off against Liverpool. Heres the match overview from the final.
I was almost positive the match was going to go to penalties, but at the 109th minute my goalkeeper had a screw up of epic proportions. Someone on United played a through ball into the box and my keeper had a good jump on it, then for whatever unknown reason he just veered off into a different direction allowing the ball to roll past him straight to Neymar who was sitting in the 6 yard box.
It was unfortunate to lose that way but unbeknownst to me the FA Cup runner up qualifies for the Europa League.
This is good for my and the clubs reputation. Hopefully we will be able to attract higher quality players to Newcastle. We are one game away from completing the league and we will most likely fulfill our chairmans goal of a mid table finish.

Like I said, we've been inconsistent. However there have been a few bright spots through it all. My summer purchase of Kevin Servin has proved an immediate success. He, along with Shane Duffy, have been rock solid at the back.
Now that January has arrived I'm going to have to try and loan some more midfielders. Preferably a CAM and CM. We'll see if there's any decent players available.

It's definitely been interesting, almost half way through the season we've been very inconsistent. Update coming soon

I was hoping for a little bit more because there are a decent amount of players that I would have liked to add. Looks like I'm just gonna have to win a lot! My first signing of the season has arrived and his name is Romeo Jozak, he is the new head of youth development.
He is ideal for my club because his preferred formation is 4-4-2 and his tactical philosophies are much similar to mine. I had a check list of areas of the first team I wanted to improve but it looks like we're gonna have to loan and sign free players mostly. I might have enough to buy one player.
Summer Goals:
Loan DM
Rotation RB
Backup CB
Young GK
This is who I ended up signing/loaning:
Young center back who has some potential according to my scouting team. He's physically dominate and that can't hurt playing in England.
A young goalkeeper that could be fighting for a starting spot within 2-3 seasons if he stays on track.
Markus will provide me with much needed depth at CDM. Him and Luke Hyam will most likely rotate based on form.
Creative central attacking midfielder that I didn't necessarily need but felt he was good and decided to loan him. Honestly he is probably the best CAM in my squad now.
Kyle Walker is still knocking around in 2023! I didn't know he was even available on a free until his agent offered him to me so being that I needed depth at RB I decided to sign him on a one year deal.
And this is my big signing. Was allowed to adjust the budget to pay £15.75M. He is only 19 but already a dominate force in defense. As a result of signing him I've decided to sell Danny Wilson being that he is getting older and I need to try and balance off the books.
We are finally ready for the new season. Wish us luck!

Overall I am pretty happy with my start here and how we finished the season off. With the run of consecutive victories we guaranteed safety from relegation.
There is now a lot of work to be done during the off-season. Firstly I need to assess my backroom staff and scouting team. The only change I made to the staff was hiring Andy Crosby as my assistant manager and 2 other scouts. My U-18 manager, Kevin O'Brien, is retiring in June and I'll need to find a suitable replacement.
My squad is nowhere near as strong as I'd like it. I am allowing a number of players from the old regime to leave on free transfer. I'm hoping I get a decent transfer budget so I will be able to sign a few scouted youth players I've had my eye on. The youth players currently at the club aren't good enough to make it at the top level. And the better players at my club are 'aging'. On top of that only 4 first team players had an overall rating of 7,00+ so it's obvious the team must improve.
In the next update I will outline the changes to the club I plan on making in better detail.

So I decided to resign with immediate effect and give someone else a chance to move them in the right direction. Shortly after that happened I started to apply for a new job. I was hoping that Everton would sack their manager before I got offered a good job, since they are in 24th in the championship with only a few games left, but that didn't happen before this:
Newcastle already have established facilities with a decent squad, good backroom staff and a new owner, finally! They offered a 4 year contract worth 10k p/w. Danny Martin (owner) also requested that I adapt an attacking mentality to my tactics.
The team is a bit on the older side which I don't usually like but it's gonna take a few years before we upgrade our scouting system as well as facilities.
Also I'm probably going to bring in Andy Crosby to be my assistant. He was with me at Ireland and he was exceptional. I'm also going to clear out the deadwood staff and look to try and sell off excess players. We have 7 matches remaining and we are in a relegation battle right now. My first match will come against Tito Villanova's Arsenal squad!

We got drawn into a pretty easy group and realistically we should be winning this or finishing 2nd at least. Also our team of the year was announced.
James McCarthy and Joe Mason being the stand out performers. I am seeing a bit of a problem with Ireland though. I am not seeing any promising youth players rising through the ranks ANYWHERE. This current crop of players are beginning to pass their prime and I'm having trouble finding suitable replacements. This could prove to be a problem in the future but right now we're okay.

It was pretty disappointing to lose our final match, for some reason we just couldn't find the back of the net even though we dominated the game and only allowed them one shot (which they scored). I guess that's football though...
My future with Ireland is unclear and I could potentially be looking to move on but I'm not sure just yet. It all depends on the club that offers me a job haha

The results have been mainly positive apart from the unexpected loss to Austria and then being thrashed by Turkey... We played fantastically against Netherlands and honestly I didn't think we would drop points so soon after that great performance.

This is progress in my eyes. The Japanese team was okay but nothing great. Now I am closer to home and more motivated than ever to win with this talented Irish squad. Here's some of the better player in the year 2020.

Thanks yeah I know it was a bit. Winning that CL really helped me out big time as far as my reputation was concerned. I'm actually getting offers from some decent clubs now. Lazio, LA Galaxy, Celtic and Stuttgart have all offered me the manager job but I'm not going to leave until the next world cup.

Unfortunately Shinji Kagawa chose to retire shortly after the Asian cup concluded. I tried to convince him to come back but he wasn't having any of it.
It came down to our final match for us to try and clinch the cup and we blew it. The worst part is that in 2 of the 3 games South Korea played they scored the winner in stoppage time and they won their final game against Australia that way. After beating both Australia and Korea I figured we'd coast to a draw against China but we were overly complacent and obviously lost.
We'll try to move on from this upsetting performance. Luckily we were considered underdogs to win the cup so my job isn't in jeopardy as far as I know.

And honestly I couldn't care less about the 3rd place games. Obviously I would have preferred to win for the sake of my job security, but I'm not that bothered we lost to Australia.

One slip up against Uruguay but I can't fault their performance. Plus, we turned quite a few heads by beating down France as easily as we did.
Even though we won a bunch of games our worldwide ranking didn't really change. We moved up after beating France but dropped straight back down after losing to Uruguay.
My squad is almost equally real players and regens now. Honda along with Kagawa are still the best Japanese players around though. Yuki Abe is also one of the most promising youngsters in the nation.
Yuki Abe
And then finally on January 1st the groups for the Asian cup were drawn. We are the defending champions and I think we should make the final at least.

I'm not too sure where my reputation stands outside of Asia so I may get embarrassed by Argentina. But, I think I have a decent chance of being asked to manage Japan being that my reputation is 'continental' and I manage a Japanese club.
I got an answer from Argentina pretty quickly and I honestly could have predicted that one.
And then...
I'm pretty glad to be getting this offer. Japan have some promising youth on the rise that could be great some day. The next day I resigned from Parciero and a mass exodus followed.

Christian Moran and Rabiu Ibrahim are two of my most important and better players. A few years back they asked to leave but I was able to get them to stay saying I would improve the clubs reputation. Surely winning the ACL means something to them? Apparently not. Either its a bug or they are just straight idiots.
I decide to engage into conversation.
That went better than expected, but I fear he may change his mind again. Moran also didn't even want to have a conversation with me so his morale may be beyond repair.
I feel a mutiny brewing in the clubhouse... My time at Parciero is numbered.
