I loved Destiny, but haven't had chance to play it since last September, so haven't played any of The Taken King. I must have clocked up a few hundred hours game time but 5000 hours?!

Be a good move to the Imps if you make it. With them being National League North they should be one of the bigger teams in that league!

Ah thats a shame, take it it was for an advertised position then, rather then a topic you chose yourself?

Yeah it was a fully funded study at Leicester, looking at a nickel sulphide deposit in Zambia. But never mind!

I dare you to try and watch a United match sober at the minute.

For your PhD? Got my offers without having to interview for them thank god. Just waiting to hear on funding now.

Fingers crossed for your funding! But no, this assessment centre is for a job. I didn't make the shortlist for the PhD I applied for unfortunately. Gutted because I really wanted the project it was on.

I got an interview, well, an assessment centre on Friday! Absolutely bricking it. Have to give a presentation and I hate giving presentations.

We lost 1-0 away, due to a wind assisted shit goal in a shit ground. 1004 Town fans in a crowd of just over 2000. Looking like the playoffs again for us.

Season long loan deals cannot be recalled unless you are in a transfer window. Also any loan where the team has paid a fee upfront prevents you from recalling the player.

That's understandable. I've definitely had short term loans though (1-3 months), with no fee involved, where I haven't been able to recall the guy even though the options been included. So if you can only recall in the transfer window for these short term deals too(?), why is the option there to include the clause?

I'm confused

Awesome job on the promotion!

What's the capacity at Plough Lane? A significant increase on Kingsmeadow I assume!

5-0 win at home to Altrincham today. Routine, keeps the pressure on at the top. Hoping Dover can grab some points off Cheltenham tomorrow lunchtime.

Good point. I'm going to switch it into a standard centre mid with defend role and see what happens. The two lads I use in that position are suited to Ball Winning Mids but I'll tinker. Thanks!

So I typically play a standard 4-4-2 with my teams, especially lower league, simple and easy to understand. I usually go with a ball winning midfielder role (on defend) and a centre midfielder role (on support) as my middle two.

My issue is that I find the ball winning midfielder picks up a huge (and I mean huge) amount of yellow cards throughout a season, and is sent off quite frequently! It's the only position in the team that seems to collect cards for fun, whichever player I put in there. On my current save, I've had my 1st choice in the role pick up 16 bookings and 3 red cards, which has totalled roughly 11 games suspended for him!

The other lads I put in there also tend to reach at least 10 yellows a season.

Anyone else have this issue and what have you done to reduce the cards? Or is there a simple way I can try to reduce the number of cards (whilst still keeping the role as Ball Winning Midfielder)? The player instruction doesn't allow me to change the tackling instruction.

Info here in the FM16 manual

Seems that both the regular season winners and the final stage winners get Champions League spots. The winners I assume though, are the Grand Final winners.

I'd go to the tactics section in the online manual (as a starting point) on the Sports Interactive website. Here: Your text to link here...

That gives a good overview when I had a quick look last week. But the best way is just to play around and see what suits you best.

Saying that yes, if our majority shareholder pulled the plug we'd be screwed as well. On the other hand, it could be argued that if we'd entered administration back when the ITV Digital collapse happened, we could have started afresh and probably still been a Football League side now. Instead, we've carried on, never entered administration and are now languishing in our 6th season in non-league (albeit some terrible mismanagement has contributed). Maybe I'm bitter but hey ho.

I blame the Premier League.

Back to the football anyway, we have a glamour FA Trophy 2nd Round tie at home to Weston Super Mare today.

I've always had exactly the same problem, every loan i make always has the recall option set as default yet if i wan't to call someone back the option isn't there to do so. Think i've only been able to do so twice since 16 came out and i obviously can't remember the date etc when i tried.

Must be a bug then? Or a strange rule that we're not aware of?

Bolton might be best served by going into administration. A chance to clear debts and rebuild from scratch from a league below can build momentum. They really have been terribly managed, mind. Mark Davies hasn't gone to Sheffield Wednesday as Wednesday - who are rolling in it - won't match his wages of £40,000 a week. Makes you wonder what other players, like David Wheater and Darren Pratley, are on. I'd happily have the former at Town, especially because we're a centre-back light, but I doubt we could afford him. Which is ridiculous, if you think about it.

I have absolutely no sympathy for clubs that pay these players that much and continually live beyond their means. It shouldn't be allowed to happen. £127 million or whatever it is in debt?! Jesus. And yet they'll just go into administration, have their debts cleared and start again.

The terminate option doesn't show up all the time though, as in me deciding to send a player back to it's parent club. I don't think you can include that in the deal?

The recall option yes, has to be in the deal, agreed on that.
