Season long loan deals cannot be recalled unless you are in a transfer window. Also any loan where the team has paid a fee upfront prevents you from recalling the player.

I've always had exactly the same problem, every loan i make always has the recall option set as default yet if i wan't to call someone back the option isn't there to do so. Think i've only been able to do so twice since 16 came out and i obviously can't remember the date etc when i tried.

Bolton might be best served by going into administration. A chance to clear debts and rebuild from scratch from a league below can build momentum. They really have been terribly managed, mind.
